It was in the second year of the era of the gods. The gods became arrogant with their powers. The humans loved and feared them. They were so stuck up that they began to play with these little humans. They planned wars and betted on the outcome, and even worse thing i shall not speak of.
But what even the gods didn't know, was that some dragons lived among the people. You think that is hard to be unnoticed, yes, they didn't live as dragons but changed their bodies into human shape. This way they can control the humans. There was one simple rule, they may not interfere in the lives of humans, especially emotionally, this is why a tear can kill a dragon.
When the dragons learned that the gods became so cruel and heartless, and they don't do anymore where they served for, they declared a war to the gods. The sky turned red from fire and blood. It was filled with the most magnificent creatures with any color you can imagine. The fight was hard and many casualties were taken at both sides. (Image may be subject to copyright. It was in the third month of war, I saw Brancus, god of war, a ruthless opponent. I, in my foolish youth, tried to get him and take him down. In the struggle with Brancus I got seriously injured. I managed to escape and flew as far as I could, until I finally crashed. I quickly transformed in human form.

The period of my recovery is a bit blurry. I was found by an old man who tried to help me as good as he could. human medicine wasnt quite effective on me but over time i managed to recover. At night, I tried to fly back to my land and to my family but I did not find it. When I fled I did not mind my environment.
In my many journeys to find it, I arrived in this beautiful realm. Here I can be a dragon if I want to. this place is a sanctuary, a safe haven, everyone is accepted as they are here. None get killed just by what they are.
Many years later, I found a dragon of my country. He was mortally wounded. I guessed it were his last minutes so I rushed towards him. I took care of him the best I could, but it was no use. He told me to stop and listen.
He told me that the dragons won the war over the gods. The surviving gods took their role again and the land lived in harmony once more. But they underestimated the humans. They blamed the dragons for killing the gods. They hunted them down and killed who they found. Now the dragons live in small communities, trusting no one. This is how an end came to the glory of the dragons.
This is why I no longer search for my home, I have a new home here.
Something happened, or better someone happened. I found someone that completes me, i found someone thats is worthy a dragon's companionship. To my own big surprise it wasnt a draca. No, i had never believed this if you had told me this would happen last year. I accepted a Rider, Nimrodel. She is a great woman, kind, compassionate, wise and funny. we have grown a bound that is stronger than skin, stronger than blood, stronger than love. We formed a bound that made us one. we share one mind, one body, when we chose to.
