You are looking at a quite young and moderate man, but something seems really disturbing. After an even closer look you got it... his hair is totally grey, which is quite unusual for the age you estimate. What happened to him? Is this a sign of his past? Did he experience that many bad things so that he aged faster?

Suddenly another thing catches your attention. There is something sparkling on his left hand and it seems to be a ring or something like that. As far as you can see it does look like a real masterpiece and might be some sort of seal ring. Right at this moment a cloud covers the sun and you get a clear glance at the object. You are totally amazed at the beautiful pattern. The whole ring seems to be a combination of two materials, one of them as black as the darkest night and the second as red as blood. On the main spot of the ring there is an insignia incorporated. The background consists of a drop of blood from the blood-red material and it holds two black letters: DB

The strange look of the human and the marvelous shiny object make you move your lips to ask for explanations. But before you can say one word the person in front of you starts talking...

"It seems like you are staring at me, right? Don't worry, I am used to this fact. Sometimes I even stand before the mirror and stare at myself, too. Before you ask why my hair is all grey, I don't know why. Knowledge about my past is a thing I seek since I awoke here on this world. The only relict of my past is this strange looking ring here. I can only guess the exact meaning of the two included letters.

Maybe they are connected to my nightmares. It happens pretty often that I dream of a person that is dressed like a jester. Despite the funny look he is pretty frightening and crazy. The only thing I really remember from these dreams is that he sits on a wooden throne, has an evil smile and yells 'One brood to rule them all!'. I don't know what this means but maybe this is connected to my life before I came here. So my task is pretty clear. I am a seeker of knowledge, especially about my past!
