I am the Goddess of the Moons, this is my story.
For millennia I traveled from planet to planet, galaxy to galaxy, spreading my light and my gifts unto the worthy and unexpecting. But when my eyes fell upon this planet, my light dimmed, my gifts disappeared. I plummeted to this planet, unaware of what was to come.
I have lost a part of me, a part of who I am.
I wish to find what I have lost.
I wish to leave this planet.
I wish to spread my light again.
I wish to know why. Why do I stand before you, without my light, as human? I thought my light and gifts were for all the worthy. What will happen if my light falls into the wrong hands?
I fear the answer.
But my question still stands unanswered, why have I been brought here?
I have many questions, shall we find the answers together, or shall we fall into darkness?
Do you wish to explore the darkness?
Do you fear it?
Of course you do, we all fear what we don’t understand, and we don’t understand what we fear.
I am confused as to why I am here, but even more than that, I fear; not for my life, but for yours. I want you to know there is a darkness in me that I do not truly understand, a darkness that has always been there. But now that I am without my light, this darkness is no longer under my control, and it’s growing. But we are in luck; It is just as confused as I. It lives within me; we share one body and one soul, but not one mind. I will try to keep our minds separated so it does not learn the secrets I have already uncovered about your planet and all the other planets.
Unfortunately, I can not promise you anything.
I only hope that you stay strong, so it does not take over your mind.
This planet and its many different inhabitants hold many secrets; I intend to uncover them all. I already know many secrets of the universe, and of many planets; but this planet is different. The secrets are not as easy to uncover, is it because I am without my light and gifts or is it because this planet is smarter then the others?
When will it share its secrets with me?
Should I share my secrets?
What secrets should I tell; and to whom should I tell them?
What secrets do you know?
Do we know the same thing?
Shall we share them with each other?
No.
These secrets are not ours to share. Besides, those who are worthy already know them.
My name is Luna, I am the Goddess of the Moons and I have come to this planet for unknown reasons and I will continue to search these vast lands for what I have lost. I have met many worthy creatures on this planet, I am not able to share my gifts with you; but I have a feeling that as I continue to explore, my gifts will slowly return to me and I will not hesitate to share them with you. There are many who can help me and many who know the answers to my questions. But I also have many answers; ask the right question and I’ll try to show you what you seek.
Luna,
Goddess of the Moons
For a long time I wandered these lands looking for a place where I could be close to the Moon.
With each passing day I was without my Light, the Darkness grew stronger.
Whispers of lost spirits clawed at the edge of my mind.
I feared the Darkness so I wouldn't listen.
The whispers would become angry and scream at me from within the Darkness. Louder and louder they would all scream incoherently at once. Pushing me to the brink of insanity.
I forced the screams to the edge of my mind. Trying to keep the insanity at bay...
Shortly after pushing the Darkness away and returning to my normal state of mind, Lucius Tarquinus came to me, asking a favor. He and a few others wished to see the Moon return to this realm. He asked if I would embody the Goddess, if I would become the Sibyl. I agreed, I became the Sibyl of the Moon.
I had finally found a place where I could be close to the Moon.
For a year I guided lovers of the Moon, Children of the Eclipse, all loved by the Moon...all loved by me...We trained and prayed together, praying for the day the Moon and the night would return. And finally at last, for only a little while, night returned.
We saw the stars sparkle and the Moon shine. We cried together, relieved to see the Moon well.
I had grown to miss my friend so much.
We spoke that night, within the recesses of our minds.
She told me to trust those around me and to not fear the Darkness. She explained that it was wrong of me to just live within the Light. That if I allowed the Darkness in, the screaming would once again return to soft whispers and I could harness the great powers of the Darkness.
Over the past year, with the advice from the Moon and with the help of those close to me, I've allowed the Darkness closer to my heart, I've grown to understand the Darkness, I've even learned that I can heal with it, transferring the wounds of friends' to myself.
There is still a lot about the Darkness I don't understand, still many more powers for me to unlock. But in time I know I will learn everything about the Darkness.
Also, after a year of not finding what I search for, I've come to realize that my place is not with the Children. I've given up my place a s Sibyl, I've left the Children. Perhaps a change will allow me to find what I seek.
Though I no longer pray along side the Children, I do pray with them. We still fight for the same reason. I am no longer the Sibyl but I still feel the Moon close to me and in time I'm sure that she will return to me and to this land once again.
I don't know where this new change will lead me. We will see what the future holds...
.::Under Construstion::.
Visions are the only time the Darkness controls me.
I let it.
It wishes to show me something.
Past.
Present.
Or future....

My quest is simple. Write a poem about the Moon. Doesn't matter how long, or even how good it is. Just get creative.
There is only one rule, the poem must be yours.
Do not take credit for someone else's work.
If I find that you have taken credit for someone else's work, you will not be rewarded, you will not be given a second chance.
Once you have submitted a poem to me and I find that it meets my simple requirements, your poem will be displayed here for all to see.

I keep my gaze fixed on the sky
In hopes of seeing the Great Moon
I do not cry
For I know you will return soon
The sun hangs high above
I wait for you to return to me
Is there a greater love?
This love continues to grow
As I wait, looking for a sign
You begin to blanket the land in a gentle glow
Your light devine
I smile and say hello
We talk all night
But I know you must depart
At the day's light
I still hold you deep in my heart
I see you fade above
I will wait for your return
There is no greater love
As the day light begins to dim
He smiles and says hello
My eyes fall upon him
With the Moon smiling high above
I wish for time to slow
I find there is a greater love

O moon,
the night is long but you are there to guide me,
showing me the path,
like a mother looking out for her child.
O moon,
the eye of the night,
full of love for her children,
bestowing the knowledge of the night unto them.
O moon,
the sun has forsaken us but you never have,
the sun burns and blinds,
but your light is gentle and loving.
O moon,
mother,
guide.

Under the trees all night I lie,
Looking ahead to the great sky.
And as I count the stars above,
I think of life, sorrow, and love.
But as I turn my head I find
A lovely, glowing, face so kind.
I smile to her, with unsure heart,
Her radiant beauty will soon part.
I take her in whilst I still can,
Knowing soon she'll see another man.
He'll be sitting under a tree
Her wonderous face he waits to see.
But I'll be with another soon,
Still remembering thy precious moon.

As the sun begins to bow
The flecks of light appear but how
Her friends have come and so has she
Her glory her beauty for all to see
Underneath her dark gown and the veil
The Goddess hides her face, beautiful and pale
Centuries before and centuries abound
no one wonders why the sun bows down
When the world begins to know
The goddess will let her true face show.
Retold by: Angurvadal
…comes the heralded hour when
the Sun and Moon meet in midday
sky. Sister Sol and brother Mani will
have run their cyclic course and tire.
And then the sinister shapes of wolves
Sköll and Hati Hróðvitnisson close in
with their jagged jaws wide ajar
at last ready to swallow the luminous
discs. The Moon whose guiding
light dissolved for man the night
and was his eternal guard from
the monsters, giants and Loki’s flock,
shall shine our shores no more…

Shimmering beauty up in the sky
Makes me reach up very high
Dreams weave together with the stars
As I watch you from afar
So white and full of brilliance
Such calmness gives me a trance
Ever flowing with light and grace
Not an ebb of sadness you can trace
To you, who seen too many tears
Your light made things very clear
Darkness may come and bring me harm
But you guide us travelers with your charm
Songs been written about you
Appreciations that you deserve too
May we be not a burden for you to carry
And continue to protect us on our journey

The moon is a face of someone you know,
a friend,
a lover,
a dream.
Strange, it seems,
how it comforts and consoles you with a lonely light,
A friend to everyone,
yet close to none.
Sometimes it changes,
not giving out as much light as before,
but then you realize it still is and ever will be a constant,
a thing that will always be there,
that you can rely to be there when you need it to be.
This moon is your judge,
an all seeing eye,
which pierces the dark of the night and lets you bask in its light,
shielding you from the shifting shadows which sometimes whisk around your head.
It alone knows all you secrets,
your hopes,
your fears and your own realist.
Sometimes you want this moon to go away,
and sometimes you want it to be just you two together.
It pains you that you are so close,
that there is so much between you,
and that yet you are apart, and forever will be.
But this is the way it is,
and forever will be,
and you know in your heart of hearts,
that you wouldn't want it any other way.

Our eyes
See only her phases
Though she is always full
Our hearts
See only her shadow
But her love is always here
Our minds
Reason it away
But her joy is always present
Our spirit
Knows without words
That the Goddess is always near
O Moon, in your full beauty
O Love, come into the light that casts no shadow
O Joy, overflow our cup of reason with your wine
O Goddess, fill us, fill us with your knowing
That our hearts may rejoice
Our eyes may be filled
Our reason overcome
Our spirit abound
In You.

Blossoming from the rock
A soul of a desperate lock
Becomes one with the blue moon
Hues of blue and gray
A due of death today
A blue moon rises in the west
It seemed so long ago
When the moon was so-so
And never went to the side of the blue
Now life is happening
And flowers are dying
The moon so blue is in the middle of the night sky
A love is a death
With a beginning and end
Just like the blue moon
With the beginning of a new day
The moon is hidden
And a new life is born
Unlike the moon of blue

Moonlight shimmers on my wrists
Twirls about my naked waist
I open for the Moon my fists
And gaze into her glowing face
I dance beneath her luscious light
And spin into the waiting breeze
Behold the Moon, glorious sight
The Moon hath my heart seized
Forever I dance with her light
Wearing the Moon’s jewels in my hair
Could not resist with all my might
The silver gleaming everywhere.
The Goddess and the Dwarf
Written by: Goldfinger Earthicus
He emerges from the darkness, grime covers is face.
Tho his stature is short, his heart is mighty.
Long has he lived, many has he seen fall by his side,
And then the light halts his pace.
He hazes upon her pale and heavenly form,
He falls to his knees, his heart beating...
And his eyes are moist as he sees her for the first time,
His journey has ceased, his chest is warm.
The time has come, to settle down,
To lay the weapons of war to rest,
And sit at her feet, all night long,
Time is endless, neér again shall he frown.
Now he passes the time, by her side.
His sword for her defence, as well as his pride
His stance is casual, his eyes alert...
And now his shield is her pride.
Gone are the times of death and war.
His eyes are bright. His laugh is loud.
Tho his beard is the colour of summer clouds,
His life is hers, for evermore.

Shimmering above
Artemis’s light guides me
Through the woodland night
I look up so as to see
Lunar majesty
The Silver beams are aglow
Falling to the earth
She is looking back at me
So full and so bright
The luminosity shows
Lunar dignity
In velvet night's sky
But no greater light
Than that in my eye
As I look at you
I see everything
My heart is complete
Hear it beating
Its warm rhythm
Only for you
One gift I have received is a necklace made from sharpened wolf claws, given to me by xcercses. He said that as long as I wear it wolfs and lycanthropes can not hurt me. I wear the necklace not because of it's protective properties, but because it was a gift from a friend.
Another gift I received is from MWBrady. It's a ruby, about the size of a fist, shaped like a rose. It is truelly beautiful and I will cherish it always, just as I cherish him.
A third gift I received is from SubZeroo. He gave me a staff that he conducted many experiments on, he said that it contains many hidden spell. I only know of one that allows me to shoot powerful fire balls at enemies with low heat cost. I'm sure in time I will discover more spells. Sub also told me that I am the only one who can touch the staff, if someone else touches it they will be turned into a statue of ice. I hope that I will never have to use this staff on enemies, but I will if necessary. *smiles* Thank you Sub for this fine gift.
A fourth gift I received is a singing sword forged by SubZeroo in memory of our dear friend, SilverHearts. It's called a singing sword because it has a double black layer, forged two times in a complex steam of four Metals: Steel, Cobalt, Adamantium and Onix. These four metals combined gives the ferocity and sound slash that very few have heard of. The shape and the lightness, gives excellent precision on foes giving it maximum damage for every hit. There is no alternative damage for the sword, and the damage does not depend on human force but only on his creator's ability of forging. Wielding it as an offence can prove fatal. Wielding it as an deffence can prove to make the barer almost invincible, it acts on instinct protecting it's wielder. *smiles* Sub, thank you once again for this fine gift.
