Passwords are stored using a one way hash to ensure we never have access to your password. Your email address is required so that we may operate a password recovery mechanism. In account recovery situations if you are not able to recover the account using our provided mechanism we will not grant access to the account. While unfortunate this process is enforced so that we never give access to another users personal data through social engineering attacks. Character dataCharacter data collected during gameplay such as creatures, items clicked, story branches, player dna, history of your actions, are collected to provide a vivid experience during your stay here, and will be anonymized once your account is removed due to expiration or you request its deletion. We do not use this data to identify you as a person outside the game world. IP DataIP data is associated with accounts and is used for abuse detection and reporting. We keep this data so that we meet our legislative requirements for protecting our users from abuse. Where we keep this dataThis data is kept on our server in the database and filesystem. The only people that have access to this data is MagicDuel Staff. If on the rare occasion access is required to the data it is always accessed over an encrypted connection. Unless required by law we never give access to your data to external agencies. We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. We keep backups of the server to ensure no data is lost and all backups are stored on encrypted drives. This ensures that even if physical access is obtained to the backup machines it will be impossible to retrieve data by unauthorized personnel. Backups are regularly overwritten so that we will only store data as long as it is required and swiftly remove deleted personal data from backups. Right of DeletionAs part of guarding your data, you are free to contact us to request your data be deleted. If this is requested we will remove all personal data and anonymize the rest. This ensures we meet the legal requirements for removal of personal data and protecting users from abuse. Right to CorrectionYou are permitted to request your data and correct if it is incorrect. Use of CookiesA cookie is a small note the site asks your browser to keep. Some of them are the only way the realm can remember who you are between one click and the next, and without those the game cannot run at all. The rest are a choice, and refusing them changes nothing about the game you can play. You are asked once, the first time you arrive, and your answer is kept for six months. You may change it at any time: on this page with the button below, or in the game under Options, in the card called "Privacy and cookies". Refusing is one click, exactly like accepting. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal we treat it as a refusal of the counting and advertising cookies, whatever you may have agreed to before. Below is every cookie the site can set, who sets it, what it is for and how long it lives. This list is generated from the same place the consent notice reads, so it cannot fall out of date while the notice stays right. The notes the realm cannot work without. These are not a choice: with none of them, nothing here can remember who you are from one click to the next.
