Major PHP upgrade
After years of slowly migrating from php 5 to php 7, i decided i am in a good mood for distruction and made the migration complete. MD runs on latest php version with some major performance tweaks as a bonus.
Now the bad news. This migration was partially initiated by Chew long time ago, and he did significant changes to support this, but i had to do the remaining changes overnight and also move to new db format, so it would be a miracle not to have some errors or broken functionality in some places. If you encounter any error or unusual behaviour, please help by posting the error and describing it how you got it on the forum.
One more change is needed to be safe for the next 5 years of upgrades, namely moving from mysql to mariadb, but that is a task for next time. I prepared everything needed to start this migration in MD but before i can do that, i need to fix or move all other auxiliary sites on the server, and that will take a while.
Would be nice to know is you notice any performance improvement, put on moodpanel if you do or don;t,
