On day 209 of the 12th year, I received the summoning of my master, whose name I shan't give.

Next thing I knew, I was on an empty island, making my way through debris and strange devices.

But the island proved to be not so empty. In fact, I saw new faces every day, but somehow they managed to disappear after a few days. I also had to think of a way to get out of this place.

I got to thinking of building a boat of sorts. After all, a boat is a sensible way to get off an island...right?

I grabbed my axe and got to chopping, getting a 2 metres long log. I then started to fashion it in the shape of a canoe, and I stopped when my body was able to squeeze in more or less comfortably. I only needed to make sure I also carved some storage space in the back of the canoe, for dried fruits and fish and a bucket of fresh water. But I figured it wouldn't be enough to get me past the sea, as I didn't know how long my trip would be. I fashioned a net and prepared dry bait, praying there'd be no monsters at large.
When my canoe was ready, I built outriggers to make sure my boat wouldn't fall over if the sea became rough. For that, I cut two biggish wooden poles, of 1 metre length, with arrow-like ends, then carved two sockets at the top end of each pole. In the sockets, that I previously coated with resin and clay, I fit two leaner poles, who would also be tied to the frame of my canoe. I then tied everything with lashing knots, and reinforced the outriggers with rope from one end to the other.
I took a pet seagull whose leg I tied with a thread to my hand, knowing that once at large, it wouldn't run away. The seagull was sure to fly to land if we were close to shore.
I had to wait for the time when the sea was calmest to launch my boat...would I make it? I didn't want to be lost at sea.

And on day 273, my run-down boat brought me to the mainland. First thing I remember was a cave whose entrance was carved out in the shape of a face. A devil's face. Someone must have dragged me here. Who?

But my excitement didn't last long...soon, I found myself trapped on a mountainous island, much like the one I left...what was my final destination? I didn't know the place, but I ws sure I'd know when I found it. For now, I had to fight all the obstacles.

Arriving at a curious scene, where pyramids were on land and in the air, I could not but tremble in fright...It was something outwordly and dangerous...so I escaped my oblivion by entering one of the pyramids. Inside, I found a tunnel, and that tunnel guided me into a labyrinth...if I didn't die of starvation, I could end up...somewhere.

At long last, I managed to get to the mainland...and explored the woods of Loreroot, the shrines of Marind Bell, the dusty shelves of MDArchive and the serenity of the mysterious East. So many sights, so many wonders; but somehow, I didn't feel a call from any of those. Instead, I felt an urge to get stronger, stronger - as if life itself called, asking for my survival. When I visited Loreroot, I could do so only with special papers from royalty, because the guardians don't let anyone through until bested. Queen Lintara was helpful and only pointed out rules of what I was allowed and what I couldn't do inside her domain. There, I recuited remains that were supposed to become strong fighters for me later on. After a while, I met a lone warrior such as myself and I began training with him. His name was Antyvas.
