New Life

Let me tell you that waking up in a little cabin, scattered scrolls within, and having no prior memory of my life was pretty scary. I didn’t even know my name! However, I saw a tattoo that encircles my left ankle like jewelry which said Iskra so I figured it must be an important name to me and used it as mine. I seem to have a vague image of a dark place, a little girl and carnival, but figure it was but a dream. So I dismiss it. After a little look around the cabin, I set off to explore this world, wondering if everything I was seeing now I had seen before and just couldn’t remember. Eventually, I come across another building, well not really a building but it almost looks it. It’s made of huge pieces of armor, piled upon itself, and I shiver at the thought of what creature would use something so big.

After a few minutes my curiosity gets the better of me and I feel a strange pull towards it. With caution, I enter into the darkness within. A scrapping sound, then a moan of despair fills my ears. Even though my heart drums with fear, something else keeps me there. My eyes swing to the left and are frozen as a creature wearing armor, face covered with a strange black metal plate, carrying a large ax walks towards me. Paralyzed, all I can do is continue to watch as this creature knells before me, head bowed. You could say I was confused at the least, but that strange pulling sensation guided my hand up to rest on its head.

“Rise Aramor. I welcome you as part of me.”

I had no clue where those words came from or the weird, warm tingling sensation I felt in my heart. I must have passed out cause the next thing I know is that I’m laying on the floor, eyes blinking rapidly. Quickly I get up and leave, more from confusion than fear. Now out in the light of day I remember that I hadn’t seen the creature, an Aramor I remember calling it, when I awoke.

I check over myself to make sure I’m not hurt and notice another tattoo, this time on my left wrist. It was a picture of an ax, the same type of ax that the Aramor carried. Curiously, I lightly run a finger over it and get that same warm tingly feeling in my heart and know that the creature is still with me even though I do not see it and find comfort in knowing that no longer am I alone in this strange world.

Days pass and slowly I learn more, along with gaining new creatures. Each time I bond with another, a new tattoo appears on my arm. Not only have I meet these new creatures, but new people also. Most are nice, such as the kind rum drinking man Teufelhunden, who was kind enough to give me one of his elemental eggs and steer me in the right direction to start the Berserker Puzzle. I proudly can say I have finished it and honestly thought the hardest part was finding the clues.

I have given great thought about what I would like to achieve in this new world and even though I am still learning, I think I have found what I was meant for. Creatures in this world seem to be fond and respectful of me and I of them, so I figure why not do something with that. So I think I shall be a creature trainer and maybe someday create one of these ‘quests’ I hear about where certain creatures I have raised will be rewards. I know that day is still a ways away, but now I can see the light shining upon that path and know it is one I wish to take.

Hollow Warrior Grasan II

Being fairly new around these parts, I have not encountered any individual that I can claim to hate. In fact, everyone has been pretty nice. However, there are a few things that get on my nerves.

Things such as; Lasagna (gross),spiders (creepy!!!), hypocrisy, liars, and cheaters.

Page 408 - The Inner Sun - Bo., Nel.
Bootes emerges from the light and steps off the dais, smiling, having returned from the last site. “Did we do it, Bootes? Will the moon return?” The light on the dais does not fade but intensifies, drawing their attention. The light surges into the pillars, and a faint melody intones. Nelya asks Bootes, “What is that sound?” ...
