Miiriam, daughter of Gaius
A small introduction to Miiriam.
Born in a small village of no less than fifty inhabitants, Miiriam had a rather sheltered upbringing.
Her mother died giving birth to her, though still, she had a smile on her soft face, her eyes gleaming as she was shown the small girl before passing away. Miiriam's father was distraught by his loss, but vowed to never let the child be hurt by anybody or thing. Deep within him a spark of passion ignited the fires in his soul, showing through his eyes. Never would a being lay a single hand upon his precious daughter.
Years passed, and with every passing year Miiriam's father become more and more protective of her, shouting at anyone that dared to even look at her. The fires in his eyes continued to burn, brighter than ever, slowly eating into his mind.
As time continued to pass Miiriam's father become more obsessive about her staying in the house, always saying how the men outside would snatch her away at any given chance to pillage her body. Miiriam had always respected her father and his words, but had never truely believed that any man could be like that, and so one night decided to creep out of the house by the window that looked upon the large gardens that they owned.
It was a cold night and the light breeze blew her hair about, like the weeds underwater. She hugged her shawl closer and started to walk down the cobbled street. She was only ten or more steps away from her house when she heard heavy footsteps falling on the ground behind her. She turned and then gasped as the a bag was thrown over her. She felt something hard strike her on the head before falling unconscious onto the ground.
The next thing she knew was that she was in a cabin made from wood. Inside were shelves and baskets, crammed with scrolls. She stood, bewildered, and walked towards the largest, shining, scroll. She touched it gently in wonder and suddenly...her mind began filling with images....
A while later Miiriam walked out of the cabin.
She had changed.
She knew about the realm.
She had companions beside her..but most of all
She would never trust a man again..
Thankyou for reading this short intro, the full story will be up in a few weeks time.
