A lone wanderer. I walk the empty roads as i travel, seeing no one, hearing no one,but myself. My shades follow me. Some evil, some dark, some empty, some sad, some good, some bright, yet, all of them, share one common thing, one common feeling...
They are all alone, just like me. Some travel with me, some just follow me for no particular reason. Still, they all seek my company, one way, or the other. They protect me, for, I am all they have. I protect them, for they are all I have too.
Its just us. Walking empty, dusty roads, forgotten by the gods, shunned by the men, we walk the road that takes nowhere, between material and spiritual.
Our wounds are many, our scars countless, yet, none of us feels no pain. For, if we did, that would mean we are still capable of feeling.
Empty heart, empty mind, empty soul. Still, I am not vanquished from this world that easily. I fight. But, i find no meaning in fighting. I sing, but I find no melody in the song. I paint, but I find no contrast in the colors. I breathe, yet i feel no life entering my lungs.
Still, I walk. Alone, with my shadows. Just us. You may see us pass next to you, as we follow our endlessly empty road. We will not see you. We will not hear you. We will not touch you.
Because, all of us walk alone.
