Life of a Shadow
The shadows dance swiftly and playfully under the moonlit sky, the wind blows gently through the grasses next to the paperhouse. Slowly I open my eyes and the darkness holds me in its chilling grasp, squeezing me in its tight embrace. As I stumble to my feet I survey my surroundings, confused as to where I am, to what I am. My feet begin to stumble towards Loreroot, not knowing how I knew the name in a place so foreign it seemed the darkness was guiding me onwards into the night.
As i continued into the darkness, the morning twilight peeked over the horizon and scattered rays of light across the grassy fields. I kept walking forwards, growing colder and weaker as the sunrise shot across the sky. Growing too weak to walk i collapsed on the ground infront of two strange trees holding a large shield with a tree on it. As i drifted off into unconsciousness, a strange voice echos in my head "who isss thisss?"
When i awoke the sky was bright with the midday sun. As i rose from the ground i realised jsut how bright it was, i felt as if i was disolving into nothingness. As fast as i could i staggered into the shade of loreroot and felt my skin return to normal. Keeping to the shadows i returned to the two strange trees to try and figure out what happened last night. |
