Introduction

I am Parsifal, the Kingfisher. I seek the Paragon, the future king.

It is my duty and my right to preside over his coronation, to seat him in his

throne high above the halcyon valley, and then take my rightful place upon

the Chair Argentum, the silver throne. Always will I, in good trust,

advise the king, until the shifting of the mercurial sands of time

brings about his passing. Then shall I sing of his great

deeds, until I too join him in the realm of death.

A Personal Quest

I recently received a letter from a deceased friend. Although the letter's contents are not of a secretive nature (as far as I know), it is written in code for mental exercise. Along with the letter I received a map that I believe is a key to its decoding. The map details the extent of these lands from the Archives to Golemus Golemicarum. It contains symbols, coordinates, and place names.

In the code we used for our correspondence most prior to his death the message below would be coded such as the following if the key 4331 was used.

E bdsi udcflw pv wdoxlyz jdodsq?

However, the key at the top of the latest message read, "Portal gilded pink." I do not know what to make of this, so I'll let you give it a shot. Here is the message:

No rewards for solving, except my gratitude.

The Phrontistery

The sanctuaries are full of nonsense and needless noise. One of the few places one can escape all of this is the underway passage. For that reason, I have declared the Underway Cavern a phrontistery, a thinking place. The Underway Cavern is out of the usual traveled route, but not so far away from the hub of MagicDuel. The Phrontistery will be a place where individuals can hold scholarly discussions without the distractions that frequent other locations. Lessons are seldom planned, nor are they truly lessons. The Phrontistery is more of a place for impromptu discussion of a serious, focused nature. Join me and learn the way of the Phrontistery.

Had a discussion with Renavoid and Logan Marquis about a calendar era, which turned into a haphazard (but intelligent and enjoyable) talk about the marking of time.

Konstantin Harknesse indicated his wish to discuss the flower Neuwiedia Noctilumens which he discovered in Golemus Golemicarum. From what he stated, he had believed the flower, which blooms in darkness and emits a soft glow, indigenous to the land of Golemus Golemicarum, but he later found it in Loreroot also. I have yet to discuss anything concerning the flower with him, but I look forward to when I am able to do so.

Apophys suggested that the location of the Phrontistery (the underway cavern) be used for the School of Thought. I support this suggestion, as it will hopefully breath new life into the Phrontistery.
