Description

Sir Blut has dirty blonde dreads and a transitional eye color. Depending on the lighting and angle, they usually appear aqua blue or gray-green.
He is always seen wearing a white sailor's blouse and trousers, frequently smoking herbs from his pipe.
He wears a belt with a scabbard and his cavalry saber in it, and dark brown leather boots.

Story Chapter 1

I was born in a small village situated between a sea and a mountain range.

The day the outsiders attacked was a sunny day in Spring, a time when almost everything was covered in flowers and other such plants in my village, and I was 16 years old that day.
The alarms rang, simple bells placed atop a short tower in the village square.
The lookout reported a fleet of ships on the horizon. The masts bore no flag.

As brittle as our defenses were, we prepared them just in case.
We only had about a dozen cannon, and just over twenty able-bodied soldiers to defend the village.

The ships carved through the waves like lightning. My little brother was on the beach as the flagship fired a warning shot. He died instantly. Wretched men were storming through my village butchering every soul they saw. For all I know, the only survivors were me and my Midnight. I galloped away slashing as many attackers as possible with my sword as I escaped.

Midnight's coat was as black as the night is, his mane radiantly shining. He was the most beautiful horse I had ever come across, and the fastest too. Unfortunately, my village was situated between a sea and a mountain; the invaders found me at the base of it.

We were put in the brig of the flagship. "Welcome to the Death Warrant, lad", a dirty man with only one eye said, with a menacing grin as he shoved me in my cell. I took the "Death Warrant" to be the name of the ship. Midnight was struggling with the crew whom were attempting to restrain him. I heard a man mention something about horse stew. For my people, a horse is valued more than a human life.

Chapter 2

I noticed a metallic rock, glowing with a golden atmosphere lying in the corner of my cage. I picked it up, studying it carefully. Suddenly I felt my limbs being pulled and torn apart torn; darkness. My next memory is sitting, back against an oak tree in my land's capitol. Midnight nudged me awake. I looked around curiously, unsure of how I came to be there.

I received strange looks from the townspeople. I heard them whispering, "It's him, it's him!" I could not understand how I got there or how they recognized me. Finally, a group of knights on foot arrived and confronted me.

"What is your business here?" the man who seemed to be the leader demanded.
"I ...I don't even know how I got here."

  He saw something in my hand, and grabbed it.
"What.. is this?," he said, examining the shining rock. He gasped.
"Arrest the witcher! he commanded.
"Witcher?! What did I---?"

I got cut off as a knight pulled me off of Midnight and two others restrained me. The one that pushed me off began beating me as I resisted; darkness.

Chapter 3

It was difficult to crack my eyes open. A jail cell.. This one was much nicer than the one on that ghostly ship.. It had a clean straw bed. A desk under the window with a splintery chair.
I sat on the desk, leaning against the bars of the window. I was trying to remember the past few days, figuring I might remember a clue as to why all of this was happening. Unfortunately, I could not find any reasons for bing locked in a jail cell at the current moment.

"We've been waiting for you"

I jumped up and hit my head on the ceiling by accident. I straightened myself out. An ancient fellow in a neighboring cell with a long, white beard. He was wearing a purple robe. "The King's jester, huh?" I chuckled to myself.
"Who's been waiting for me? Who are you?"
"Come with me!" called he with the silly hat slightly falling off.
He waved his hand. We sat on a log bench outside a small cottage.
"How did we get here? I just want to go...Home." I saddened, remembering the cause of my misadventure.
" We can help you. We are your allies. Let us help you."

Chapter 4

And so I met Marilyn, one of the greatest sorcerers of all time, and he started training my mind to unlock lost potential. Why? I don't know. I still don't know who "we" were, but I got stronger and stronger, until I could almost compete with the great wizard himself.
He was very proud of me. He adopted me as a son and I lived with him in his cottage. I kept asking whom the "others" were, but instead of telling me he said that one day I would be ready to understand, that I was meant for something great. From him I learned the art of shape shifting, but I could choose only one form to take for the rest of my life.
I chose the wolf, and so I am a skinwalker of sorts.
When I turned 17, he told me I was ready. When I asked him to tell me the truth, he instead told me to go off into the world and live, and I would know the answer one day.

Chapter 5

After a long year by my lonesome, all I could think of to do to get by was doing magic tricks for money. Eventually the king decreed a law against the practice of magic and the persecution of magic beings and practitioners.

One night after excessive drinking, I was involved in an argument with a stranger. He challenged me to a duel, which, considering we were intoxicated and equal in ability, went on for a good half hour. We realized neither of us could best the other, had a laugh and went back in the pub for more drinks. That was the beginning of my friendship with Miecyslaw. He was an officer in the Winged Hussars heavy cavalry..
He trained me in the art of mounted swordsmanship, and other aspects of combat I was unfamiliar with. After months of training, I enlisted under him and was deployed.
I eventually became an officer myself, always leading my men into battle on Midnight, and under my command we won the battle that ended a 30 year war with an opposing land. I was knighted by their king around this time for my militant achievements and have since discarded my real name for Sir Blut. Friends ignore the title and call me Blut or Blunt, and have no memory of my real name.

My dear friend died during a charge some years later, and I fell into a depression for many months. I got discharged from the fine cavalry force and as my depression got the better of me, I bought myself a ship at the docks and tried to gather up a crew. I had to leave this place and find peace with myself.

Chapter 6

" You all know why you have been called here. I have a ship, food, rum, water, whatever you would need for a life on the sea. Who will join me in my quest for riches and glory?"
Icedragon looked at me skeptically. Then, "sure I'll join your crew!" Werewolfer and Lupus nodded.

We left right away. It was very uncomfortable for me at first. What did I know about sailing? I felt so light in this sailor garb. But it suited us.

Chapter 7

Two weeks after, I tried something new. I raised my ship from the sea using a combination of spells, and it began soaring through the air. I figured, as a pirate, I didn't have to follow the rules. I felt. Invincible. My crew were in shock. I dropped the Silver Swan back into the sea, and waited.

My men had been partying the previous night due to our last victory and most were drunk as a skunk. I enjoy a good drink myself, but didn't feel the need to that time. I was taking a walk on deck when they surrounded me. "Blut, we don't like what yer cookin'."
The mutineers barged out of their quarters, armed with wooden planks. (real weapons were only handed out during battle)
" And what would that be?"
"we don't have to answer any questions, we won't take orders from a sorcerer!", my 1st mate said.
I pulled a flintlock on him. He dropped the plank, and dropped to his knees.
"Men, put your weapons down."
" No, no, keep them raised, by all means, you'll need them" I said. As he pulled a dagger and tried to stab me, I shot him, and as he fell, I threw that pistol and pulled out the other one from my belt.

Suddenly, cannon fire erupted out from the distance. I stopped and listened. Abruptly, the main mast split in two and fell on most of my men. Next thing I know, honest privateers are boarding my vessel, and arrested those of us that weren't crushed by the mast. The king sent an armada to apprehend us for our deeds. The bloody lookout was blacked out in his hammock and couldn't warn us ..

Chapter 8

Now I was really frustrated. ANOTHER JAIL CELL!!!
I began looking around for a way to get out, for I would not wait around for a pointless trial that would end in my hanging.
I grinned as I saw an old, discarded wire in a corner of my cell. I picked up the wire and approached the cell door.
Thankfully, all of my crew, and the guard were asleep, by the looks of it. I inserted the "key" into the keyhole after having straightened it out and jiggled it inside the lock.. As I unlocked the door, the guard woke.

"Hey!"

He walked up to my cell and opened the door. As he hit me in the side of the head with the butt of his musket, I grabbed the knife stuffed in his belt and stabbed him in between his neck and right shoulder. As he fell limp to the floor, I took his musket from his cold, dead hands, as well as his set of keys, and ran towards the exit that would take me to the docks.

I looked around the docks, surprised to see them deserted. There was a small pinnace docked. "Too easy..." I thought to myself, and since that was my only chance of escape I boarded her.
As I was untying the boat I saw guards running towards the docks. I shot point blank with my musket in panic and managed to hit one in the leg. Then I threw the musket as if it were a javelin, and killed another one with the bayonet attatched.

When I untied it the boat flew forward, and very soon I heard cannon fire from the fort. I was so near yet the vessel was untouched as if there was an invincible force field around it protecting it from the cannon balls. Soon the port was far away on the horizon with the sunset.

Epilogue

After an hour of sailing, a huge maelstrom opened up suddenly, glowing with a ghostly green. It swallowed the small vessel with myself.
I fell unconscious as I suffocated and had a vision. The old sorcerer who trained me in magic told me my real father was a God, Weles(hence my love of water.) I have no idea if there is truth behind it, for all I know this was a dream caused by unconsciousness in water.
Next thing I knew, I woke up in a foreign room, the first floor of the paper cabin. I have no idea how I got here but have made it my mission to find out and return to my world.
