Character

Combat stats tap a row for its sources

  • 38.99 initial = 38.99

The plain force your creatures strike with when you send them into a ritual.

Treasure from won fights, where it is the cheapest of the nine to raise. Worn weapons lend it, and some shop and reward items grant it.

Damage is your attack less the target's defence, and most abilities start their sum from it. Your total is shared out across the creatures in your ritual, so the same attack goes further in a ritual of two than in a ritual of six.

  • 17.77 initial = 17.77

How much of a blow your creatures shrug off before it touches their vitality.

Treasure from won fights, at three and a half times the cost of attack. Worn armour lends it, and some shop and reward items grant it.

It is subtracted from nearly every incoming blow, so a defence above the enemy's attack leaves them doing the minimum of one damage. Like the rest, your total is shared out across the creatures in your ritual.

  • 13.43 initial = 13.43

The strength behind everything your creatures do that is not a plain blow.

Treasure from won fights, the second cheapest of the nine to raise. Worn gear lends it, and some shop and reward items grant it.

Healing, protecting, stealing life and poisoning all measure themselves against power and ignore attack entirely. Stealing life is capped at 20 percent of a creature, and an aimed hit at 25.

  • 10.79 initial = 10.79

How early your creatures move when a round opens.

Treasure from won fights, at five times the cost of attack. Worn gear lends it, and some shop and reward items grant it.

The whole field acts in order of initiative, highest first, so it decides whether you land a killing blow before the other side answers or after.

  • 15.84 initial = 15.84

How readily the realm's heat answers to you, in a fight and on the road.

Treasure from won fights, and one of the dearer of the nine. Worn gear lends it, and some shop and reward items grant it.

It is added to the heat you get for a fight you start, and a quarter of it is added to the heat of every step on your own land, or on any land while you belong to none.

  • 5.16 initial = 5.16

The realm's willingness to tilt a moment your way, or against you.

Treasure from won fights, but only on about one win in eight, so it grows in jumps rather than steadily. Clickables in the lands hand it out, and worn gear lends it.

On roughly one scene in three, luck finds you Winertia; luck below zero loses it instead. In a fight, luck on either side can double an effect or cancel it outright.

  • 14.09 initial = 14.09

How readily your vitality comes back to you.

Treasure from won fights, and by far the dearest of the nine to raise. Worn gear lends it, and some shop and reward items grant it.

It swells the vitality your house pays you on every refresh, by up to half again, with half of that reached at 2,000. After a fight, every creature you sent is brought back up to at least its regeneration as a percentage of its maximum vitality. Your regeneration is shared out among them like the other stats.

  • 12.46 initial = 12.46

Your nose for a price, and how hard you are to overcharge.

Treasure from won fights, at one of the higher costs of the nine. Worn gear lends it.

It takes up to 25 percent off a dwelling, a weapon and your house rent. The discount climbs fast at first and then flattens, reaching half its maximum at 750 and never quite the whole 25. It is the one of the nine the fight engine never reads.

  • 16.49 initial = 16.49

How well you hold together while crossing land that is not yours.

Treasure from won fights, at one of the higher costs of the nine. Worn helms and shields lend it.

Stepping into another house's territory costs you vitality, and your energetic immunity cancels that percentage of the loss. At 100 the crossing costs nothing at all.

Skills that only grow

  • 0.10 initial = 0.10

The weight of your own will, built by going where the realm pushes back.

Every scene you enter that costs action points. Going in above the viscosity minimum pays more than going in below it. The secured day streak pays as well.

Your share of a forge wish. There are five bands, from a tenth to a half.

  • 80 initial = 80.00

How far your character can still be reshaped. It starts at 80 for everyone and is only ever spent.

Nothing raises it yet. Every card you take by converting permanent stats lowers it by one.

The price of your next card. At 80 a card costs 10 points; each point of plasticity you lose makes the next card dearer (59, then 69, then 81 ...), and each point above 80 makes it cheaper, down to a floor of one.

My story Comments on self

My name is Kouras.

Here is my story for those interested.

I was born in a small village, North of the High Necromancer tower, called Nahtlem. My mother was just a normal house wife, she did the cooking, cleaning, shopping and most important of all...she raised me. My father was High Necromancer Yuke, he was head of the Transformation and Transposition at the tower.

When I was young, my father came home once every high noon, which was every 4 weeks, to see my mother and I. I was told he would pick me up and rest me on his shoulders, and he would bounce me up and down....to any passer by it would seem like we were a normal family.....but we weren't.

As I grew I started seeing my father in a new light....he would teach me how to use daggers sufficiently enough to defend myself..but never enough to overtake him...It was the first night home, I had just turned 16, when I heard a small muffled scream come from my mothers room.I slowly slid out of my bed in my boxers and crept out of my room.As I crept along the corridor I started other noises.....sort of grunts and short muffled yells from my mother.Slowly I pushed open their door and peered in.....I quickly pulled my head back out, closed the door and ran back to my room.I jumped into my bed and tried falling asleep....I could not after what I saw...I blushed and thought how silly I was....and slowly...ever so slowly I fell asleep.

4 weeks later I brought home a guest. His name was Krai.He was the same age as me and had short, spikey black hair. His eyes were deep blue and his lips a deep red. As we were walking home we spoke about how my and his parents would react. We reached the front door and he quickly brushed his lips against mine and whispered           " Everything will be fine...". I pushed open the door and walked into the front room, where my parents were talking and drinking a small glass of Yusay, an alcohol derived from cherries. They smiled as we walked in, they greeted Krai with a warm smile....Krai had been a friend since I was 13. We both sat down on the small sofa. As we spoke and told them the news they both fell unnaturally silent.....

(Krai)

2 Days later my parents were still not talking to me.They had shouted at me when I had told them that Krai and I were together...that we loved each other. When Krai left they shouted even more and told me to go to my room.I obeyed...I could not bear any more shouting...I could hear them shoputing at one another about how it was her/his fault I turned out like this...I was so fed up...I climbed out my window and ran to Krai's house. When I got there he was at the front door...as if he knew I was coming.I looked at him then ran into his open arms.As he embraced me in his loving arms I felt the tear running from my eyes and down my cheek. He stroked my chin and said again that everything will be fine, that we will run away from these people.

(me)

1 Day later Krai was found dead lying in his room on his bed. The local healer was there when I arrived. She saw me and took me back to her house in the mountains. We spoke....as we spoke it seemed as if all my troubles and worries flew out of me. We kept speaking for hours and hours....then we agreed that she would send me to another realm, after she had taught me a few things...

3 Weeks later Shai the healer had taught me all she knew, from how to heal minor wounds to how to change form. My form was a small black dog. She said it was because I was at peace with myself..and others...that I was loving and kind...so my form was a dog.

1 Hour later Shai had set the spells ready and the portal floated there in the air...like a shimmering mirror. It's surface rippled as the light breeze crossed it.I was just stepping through as she whispered in my ear "It was your father...he killed Krai with a Necrovion arrow"..then I was sucked through...thats when I landed in the cabin.

(More will come as I meet people ect. Thanks for reading though =0) )

(More pictures to come also)
