Medals are earned through hard work and given one player at a time, sometimes with a ceremony. Together with titles, they are what the realm holds as true about Rayth.

Character

Combat stats tap a row for its sources

  • 504.90 initial = 504.90

The plain force your creatures strike with when you send them into a ritual.

Treasure from won fights, where it is the cheapest of the nine to raise. Worn weapons lend it, and some shop and reward items grant it.

Damage is your attack less the target's defence, and most abilities start their sum from it. Your total is shared out across the creatures in your ritual, so the same attack goes further in a ritual of two than in a ritual of six.

  • 251.15 initial = 251.15

How much of a blow your creatures shrug off before it touches their vitality.

Treasure from won fights, at three and a half times the cost of attack. Worn armour lends it, and some shop and reward items grant it.

It is subtracted from nearly every incoming blow, so a defence above the enemy's attack leaves them doing the minimum of one damage. Like the rest, your total is shared out across the creatures in your ritual.

  • 89.66 initial = 89.66

The strength behind everything your creatures do that is not a plain blow.

Treasure from won fights, the second cheapest of the nine to raise. Worn gear lends it, and some shop and reward items grant it.

Healing, protecting, stealing life, draining principles and poisoning all measure themselves against power and ignore attack entirely. Stealing life is capped at 20 percent of a creature, and an aimed hit at 25.

  • 80.38 initial = 80.38

How early your creatures move when a round opens.

Treasure from won fights, at five times the cost of attack. Worn gear lends it, and some shop and reward items grant it.

The whole field acts in order of initiative, highest first, so it decides whether you land a killing blow before the other side answers or after.

  • 105.77 initial = 105.77

How readily the realm's heat answers to you, in a fight and on the road.

Treasure from won fights, and one of the dearer of the nine. Worn gear lends it, and some shop and reward items grant it.

It is added to the heat you get for a fight you start, and a quarter of it is added to the heat of every step on your own land, or on any land while you belong to none.

  • 53.10 initial = 53.10

The realm's willingness to tilt a moment your way, or against you.

Treasure from won fights, but only on about one win in eight, so it grows in jumps rather than steadily. Clickables in the lands hand it out, and worn gear lends it.

On roughly one scene in three, luck finds you Winertia; luck below zero loses it instead. In a fight, luck on either side can double an effect or cancel it outright.

  • 87.31 initial = 87.31

How readily your vitality comes back to you.

Treasure from won fights, and by far the dearest of the nine to raise. Worn gear lends it, and some shop and reward items grant it.

It swells the vitality your house pays you on every refresh, by up to half again, with half of that reached at 2,000. After a fight, every creature you sent is brought back up to at least its regeneration as a percentage of its maximum vitality. Your regeneration is shared out among them like the other stats.

  • 68.13 initial = 68.13

Your nose for a price, and how hard you are to overcharge.

Treasure from won fights, at one of the higher costs of the nine. Worn gear lends it.

It takes up to 25 percent off a dwelling, a weapon and your house rent. The discount climbs fast at first and then flattens, reaching half its maximum at 750 and never quite the whole 25. It is the one of the nine the fight engine never reads.

  • 110.92 initial = 110.92

How well you hold together while crossing land that is not yours.

Treasure from won fights, at one of the higher costs of the nine. Worn helms and shields lend it.

Stepping into another house's territory costs you vitality, and your energetic immunity cancels that percentage of the loss. At 100 the crossing costs nothing at all.

Skills that only grow

  • 6.21 initial = 6.21

The weight of your own will, built by going where the realm pushes back.

Every scene you enter that costs action points. Going in above the viscosity minimum pays more than going in below it. The secured day streak pays as well.

Your share of a forge wish. There are five bands, from a tenth to a half.

  • 80 initial = 80.00

How far your character can still be reshaped. It starts at 80 for everyone and is only ever spent.

Nothing raises it yet. Every card you take by converting permanent stats lowers it by one.

The price of your next card. At 80 a card costs 10 points; each point of plasticity you lose makes the next card dearer (59, then 69, then 81 ...), and each point above 80 makes it cheaper, down to a floor of one.

Rayth
Rayth is a generally lazy character who enjoys simple activities to pass the time. She's not into politics, and she's not into dealing with idiots. You will usually find her lounging, fidgeting with paper, or writing.

Since her arrival in the realm, she's worn the same simple clothing: a black close fitting t-shirt and a pair of dirty jeans. Her dark hair is curly and a bit frizzy, usually yanked back into a messy ponytail. She could be considered beautiful, with tan skin and dark amber eyes, but she doesn't care enough about her appearance for that.
She doesn't seem to pay attention to how dirty her clothing is, or whether or not there's rocks in her shoes. Its all the same, whether it's a bother or not.

Lanterns

I came to this place as an empty cup. I don't know this world or what its capable of, and since coming here I've just kind of wandered around going to wherever my beast tells me to go. I should probably stop listening to that beast. Its got a ton of nasty ideas. You know, its tough when I'm always looking for a good home made meal.

Well, that wandering around sure has to stop. I'm coming to a point here where I'm just walking blindly through a long dark tunnel. I guess you could say I'm looking for a lantern. I don't really get it, to be honest, but that's just what my brain is telling me I'm looking for.
One part of me says, "Well shit, I damn sure wish I had a sure location." and another part says, "You've got your location here, idiot."

I could argue about the idiot statement, but I'd be arguing with myself and that's kind of boring.

Record logs - Weird Tales Personal hate list

Log one:
-Upon entering this weird land, a strange guy in a bunch of robes offers to help me with some grueling task involving a fire animal. He smells like goat cheese.
-I'm kind of starting to think that almost everyone in this place is antisocial.

Log two:
-I found some half naked people on a beach in a place called Gol-e-mus. Its kind of relaxing, sorta nice. Don't hit the empty dudes though, they smack back like a hard hitting toy robot.

Log three:
-Not everyone is naked here! I found some guy wearing a dress, thats kinda clothed.

-Continued: I've concluded that this place is weird and not so weird. There's some translucent guy on a balcony in this huge library I found. No idea what he is but my hand passed right through him. He's a ghost!

Log four:
-Don't tease Keith, people smack you.

Log five:
-I walked into some kind of party thing, I don't have any clothes other than my jeans and tee. Guess I'll just eat the food.
-Met a couple of morons there, seriously, some people need a life. Not to say I've got one or anything...weird place.

Log six:
-The naked chick I met on Gol-e-mus is raising a cute looking bird. I guess I don't mind feeding it worms every now and then.
-I just chopped wood.

Log seven:
-Thomas the Titan is a big bad wolf.

Log eight:
-Heard a new quote: "It takes many apples to make an orchard." - Karak

The logs she made when she first came here were discontinued after her arrival in Necrovion.
For now, she just sits back and observes.

Lanterns and Cloaks:

Rayth: I guess so.
Rayth: I wonder where the lantern is guiding me.
Rayth: I keep dreaming about it.
Rasiel: Would you tell me about your dream?
Rayth: I just see a lantern held by a hooded person. It's very dark, and I'm holding a ring of keys and my lock-picking gear.
Rayth: There's a sour taste and a thick smell.
Rayth: And everything is heavy.
Rayth: The metal keyring is cold, and the keys rattle and sing.
Rayth: I think I'm shaking.
Rayth: But it's not fear.
Rayth: Like...numbness, I guess.
Rayth: I want to walk to the lantern, but I don't.
Rayth: That's about it.
Rayth: I know I ain't been smokin' anything.

Page 489 · The Traveler - The End

No one knows what the newly emerged Shade Sentinel is like, nobody met "them" after "they" escaped the complexity of the sphere, one can only hope that the collision between the Traveler and the Shade did not leave major scars behind. Who/what the Traveler is, remains a question to be pondered. The effect on the Angiens makes the question regarding who/what the Traveler is more clear ... what can be combined with something to obtain its opposite? [End of Chapter]
