Character

Combat stats tap a row for its sources

  • 6,819.08 initial + 3 alliance = 6,822.08

The plain force your creatures strike with when you send them into a ritual.

Treasure from won fights, where it is the cheapest of the nine to raise. Worn weapons lend it, and some shop and reward items grant it.

Damage is your attack less the target's defence, and most abilities start their sum from it. Your total is shared out across the creatures in your ritual, so the same attack goes further in a ritual of two than in a ritual of six.

  • 4,019.80 initial + 300 territory + 20 alliance = 4,339.80

How much of a blow your creatures shrug off before it touches their vitality.

Treasure from won fights, at three and a half times the cost of attack. Worn armour lends it, and some shop and reward items grant it.

It is subtracted from nearly every incoming blow, so a defence above the enemy's attack leaves them doing the minimum of one damage. Like the rest, your total is shared out across the creatures in your ritual.

  • 585.45 initial = 585.45

The strength behind everything your creatures do that is not a plain blow.

Treasure from won fights, the second cheapest of the nine to raise. Worn gear lends it, and some shop and reward items grant it.

Healing, protecting, stealing life, draining principles and poisoning all measure themselves against power and ignore attack entirely. Stealing life is capped at 20 percent of a creature, and an aimed hit at 25.

  • 1,632.62 initial = 1,632.62

How early your creatures move when a round opens.

Treasure from won fights, at five times the cost of attack. Worn gear lends it, and some shop and reward items grant it.

The whole field acts in order of initiative, highest first, so it decides whether you land a killing blow before the other side answers or after.

  • 2,690.85 initial + 4 alliance = 2,694.85

How readily the realm's heat answers to you, in a fight and on the road.

Treasure from won fights, and one of the dearer of the nine. Worn gear lends it, and some shop and reward items grant it.

It is added to the heat you get for a fight you start, and a quarter of it is added to the heat of every step on your own land, or on any land while you belong to none.

  • 544.23 initial = 544.23

The realm's willingness to tilt a moment your way, or against you.

Treasure from won fights, but only on about one win in eight, so it grows in jumps rather than steadily. Clickables in the lands hand it out, and worn gear lends it.

On roughly one scene in three, luck finds you Winertia; luck below zero loses it instead. In a fight, luck on either side can double an effect or cancel it outright.

  • 2,732.13 initial + 50 territory = 2,782.13

How readily your vitality comes back to you.

Treasure from won fights, and by far the dearest of the nine to raise. Worn gear lends it, and some shop and reward items grant it.

It swells the vitality your house pays you on every refresh, by up to half again, with half of that reached at 2,000. After a fight, every creature you sent is brought back up to at least its regeneration as a percentage of its maximum vitality. Your regeneration is shared out among them like the other stats.

  • 2,299.26 initial = 2,299.26

Your nose for a price, and how hard you are to overcharge.

Treasure from won fights, at one of the higher costs of the nine. Worn gear lends it.

It takes up to 25 percent off a dwelling, a weapon and your house rent. The discount climbs fast at first and then flattens, reaching half its maximum at 750 and never quite the whole 25. It is the one of the nine the fight engine never reads.

  • 3,872.82 initial + 150 territory + 20 alliance = 4,042.82

How well you hold together while crossing land that is not yours.

Treasure from won fights, at one of the higher costs of the nine. Worn helms and shields lend it.

Stepping into another house's territory costs you vitality, and your energetic immunity cancels that percentage of the loss. At 100 the crossing costs nothing at all.

Skills that only grow

  • 123.94 initial = 123.94

The weight of your own will, built by going where the realm pushes back.

Every scene you enter that costs action points. Going in above the viscosity minimum pays more than going in below it. The secured day streak pays as well.

Your share of a forge wish. There are five bands, from a tenth to a half.

  • 80 initial = 80.00

How far your character can still be reshaped. It starts at 80 for everyone and is only ever spent.

Nothing raises it yet. Every card you take by converting permanent stats lowers it by one.

The price of your next card. At 80 a card costs 10 points; each point of plasticity you lose makes the next card dearer (59, then 69, then 81 ...), and each point above 80 makes it cheaper, down to a floor of one.

Greetings Stranger

My name is Valldore .

This is a strange realm we are walking. But were did we all came from ? I see dreams, having memories of past lives forming images in my mind ... What are all these ? I'm not sure myself either ...........

Seems that my past is full of adventures, not sure which ones are real and which ones are desires of who i wanted to be.

I've seen images of Valldore being a young spellcaster, trying to survive in another strange realm, ruled by strange powers. Divided in domains inside the realm itself, each one ruled by a single being called Darklord, given ultimate power in his domain but at the same time this domain being his eternal prison. And Valldore being a mere tool in the hands of those, trying to survive between their struggle for power ...................

I've seen images of Valldore being a cunning rogue, this time on a very different place . Grouped with others, he was trying to save that world from anything that would threat it or trying to enslave it ...... Haven't seen the end, but he never really managed to achieve anything great and memorable .... Probably that's why this images are vague ....

I've seen images of Valldore, using strange blades formed just from the power of his mind, trying to survive the harshness of a caravan traveling in a realm very familiar with the first, but yet so much different. His mind wasn't strong, so his blades well dull ...... He won some battles, he lost others ...... In the end was it really his dull blades that helped him in these travels, or just mere luck of finding strong friends ......... Images are blurry again ........

I've seen images of Valldore, fighting with his bare hands, trying to save his master ..... Passed through groups of evil beasts and creatures, again with the help of others. But he was late ....... He couldn't prevent the death of the one he swore to protect .........

I've seen images of Valldore, this time himself being the one manipulating others through the power of his magic and mind, ruling a city of creatures that he once used to be one of them , long time ago ......... Not anymore ....... Struggling to Balance his Darkness and Light inside him, to prevent chaos and ancient enemies from destroying the very essence that defined his existence ..... Did he manage ? Did he fail ? That one hasn't ended yet i'm afraid .....

The images never stop changing, evolving .... Some may be the future that awaits, that will become past and get lost in the vortex of memories ....... Who knows ..........

But do all this play any part where we are now ? All those images described don't merge between them, seems like each realm has it's own borders and keeps each story inside that border ....

So in here, i'm not a young or mighty spellcaster, neither a cunning rogue or anything else ....... I am a human and even though my mind seems to believe that i used to have all kind of strange abilities, none has followed here.

I travel in this strange realm, guided by what i've seen and what i've felt in what seems to be past lives and experiences. But the borders cannot be crossed , so even if i've seen mighty spells devastating my enemies , blades swirling around , wounding and killing , nothing of this has followed here ........

Don't get me wrong, even i don't know what the images are, so it may never was the case that i did any of this (and believe me, for some of those things i hope i've never done them), but here, I'm Valldore.

Nice to meet you .

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Different images keep visiting me in my dreams (or is this a dream maybe and those are reality , can't tell ).

Valldore , together with his brother, prisoned for almost a century try to gain back what it was rightfully theirs ... Struggling, trying to survive in the power games of the rest land lords of the island, digging up old, lost friendships , hiding from forgotten enemies until they have the power to face them ..... Rebuilding the land that was wrongly taken from them, will they survive until they manage to get back to their earlier glory ? Will they manage to stay "alive" ?
