Character

Combat stats tap a row for its sources

  • 68.40 initial = 68.40

The plain force your creatures strike with when you send them into a ritual.

Treasure from won fights, where it is the cheapest of the nine to raise. Worn weapons lend it, and some shop and reward items grant it.

Damage is your attack less the target's defence, and most abilities start their sum from it. Your total is shared out across the creatures in your ritual, so the same attack goes further in a ritual of two than in a ritual of six.

  • 47.58 initial = 47.58

How much of a blow your creatures shrug off before it touches their vitality.

Treasure from won fights, at three and a half times the cost of attack. Worn armour lends it, and some shop and reward items grant it.

It is subtracted from nearly every incoming blow, so a defence above the enemy's attack leaves them doing the minimum of one damage. Like the rest, your total is shared out across the creatures in your ritual.

  • 27.79 initial = 27.79

The strength behind everything your creatures do that is not a plain blow.

Treasure from won fights, the second cheapest of the nine to raise. Worn gear lends it, and some shop and reward items grant it.

Healing, protecting, stealing life and poisoning all measure themselves against power and ignore attack entirely. Stealing life is capped at 20 percent of a creature, and an aimed hit at 25.

  • 17.16 initial = 17.16

How early your creatures move when a round opens.

Treasure from won fights, at five times the cost of attack. Worn gear lends it, and some shop and reward items grant it.

The whole field acts in order of initiative, highest first, so it decides whether you land a killing blow before the other side answers or after.

  • 35.09 initial = 35.09

How readily the realm's heat answers to you, in a fight and on the road.

Treasure from won fights, and one of the dearer of the nine. Worn gear lends it, and some shop and reward items grant it.

It is added to the heat you get for a fight you start, and a quarter of it is added to the heat of every step on your own land, or on any land while you belong to none.

  • 11.33 initial = 11.33

The realm's willingness to tilt a moment your way, or against you.

Treasure from won fights, but only on about one win in eight, so it grows in jumps rather than steadily. Clickables in the lands hand it out, and worn gear lends it.

On roughly one scene in three, luck finds you Winertia; luck below zero loses it instead. In a fight, luck on either side can double an effect or cancel it outright.

  • 30.64 initial = 30.64

How readily your vitality comes back to you.

Treasure from won fights, and by far the dearest of the nine to raise. Worn gear lends it, and some shop and reward items grant it.

It swells the vitality your house pays you on every refresh, by up to half again, with half of that reached at 2,000. After a fight, every creature you sent is brought back up to at least its regeneration as a percentage of its maximum vitality. Your regeneration is shared out among them like the other stats.

  • 15.37 initial = 15.37

Your nose for a price, and how hard you are to overcharge.

Treasure from won fights, at one of the higher costs of the nine. Worn gear lends it.

It takes up to 25 percent off a dwelling, a weapon and your house rent. The discount climbs fast at first and then flattens, reaching half its maximum at 750 and never quite the whole 25. It is the one of the nine the fight engine never reads.

  • 34.90 initial = 34.90

How well you hold together while crossing land that is not yours.

Treasure from won fights, at one of the higher costs of the nine. Worn helms and shields lend it.

Stepping into another house's territory costs you vitality, and your energetic immunity cancels that percentage of the loss. At 100 the crossing costs nothing at all.

Skills that only grow

  • nothing yet = 0.00

The weight of your own will, built by going where the realm pushes back.

Every scene you enter that costs action points. Going in above the viscosity minimum pays more than going in below it. The secured day streak pays as well.

Your share of a forge wish. There are five bands, from a tenth to a half.

  • 80 initial = 80.00

How far your character can still be reshaped. It starts at 80 for everyone and is only ever spent.

Nothing raises it yet. Every card you take by converting permanent stats lowers it by one.

The price of your next card. At 80 a card costs 10 points; each point of plasticity you lose makes the next card dearer (59, then 69, then 81 ...), and each point above 80 makes it cheaper, down to a floor of one.

The crusader By *abaddun*

Deep in the jaws of the land, fell creatures preyed upon the weak and feeble, many eyed monstrosities, winged and clawed beasts from the gullet of hell, terrorised primitive man. Centuries past, but during that time regardless of the loses mankind prevailed, and grew, but so did the beasts and yet again they started the hunt. The ruler of that time otherwise known as the emperor, made a call to the land for hunters, to do what they did best, but among the many different faces, was one man, a young man who came from yet a wealthy family, but felt separated, so with only the cloths on his back and a self made spear, he accepted the emperors challenge and headed of to find fame. Many years past since abaddun left civilisation, but he still knew his duty was not over, that there were many more things to slay, but a deep ,gnawing sensation told him something was about to happen.

A few days later it did. As abaddun stalked his new target a vision came to him, a great winged humanoid drifted from blinding light and offered an embrace, thinking fast, abaddun sent his spear at the things heart, but it merely passed though, “I am not your enemy, your spirit has been dulled by years of feral killing, senses blunt by the primitive feast of impure hate”, it whispered. “BUT I SHALL CHANGE THAT”. With the light of its coming a shock so was its departure, the voice had blown abaddun of his feet and toppled more than one tree, but something had happened, something was touching his skin that had not been felt in years, he was wearing a full plate suit of pure shining armour that rippled with magic, in his right hand a perfectly crafted longsword was held, burning with power, and in his left a shield, a ball of the strange material ,hung from no strings, in a hole at its centre ,orbited by smaller versions of itself. But the biggest change was what he felt in himself, the old dreams and desires died, and a new person, a person who would die for the a noble cause, and emitting raw zealous energies, he marched to a direction he knew would take him back to the emperor. Arriving back at the palace he was faced against the gate, taller than everything other than the miracle it guarded, many times has an attacker thrown himself at the gate, and many times has he died of a crushed spirit at the sight of such a thing. But abaddun defied its presence and stood, with head held high, with hands clenched in defience, he stood. the guards saw this figure from the vision sleets of the bastion and a cry went out to identify, silence greated the guards, so that day the ground of the keep turned dark as arrows hammerd into the dirt, and the face plate of abadduns helmet, not makeing a scratch on the substance. the flow of arrows subsided and the guards expected little more then a bloody smear to mark the intruders passing, but reality broke apart as abadun stepped out of the forast of small shafts, and grinned. "what fun are going to have men", with that he hefted his broadsword and walked forward.

During his time as the emperors agent he came across a man dressed in plain white robes, that were smeared with a red substance, but by the look of him, this must’ve been Jonn, the royal inquisitor. "abaddun, a word if you please", after several hours of talking in his private chambers, they realized they had a few things in common, but abaddun was struck by the power of mind of such a person, and offered his services to the inquisition.

everyone has this, feeling, when they are themselvs but not, like a dark side of a persion, and at the battle for khalazdad that side was relised, bathed in the slaughter abaddun abandoned his sword and shield he picked up two discarded axes, bellowing “by my fury you shall know the emperors name” he became a bubble of death, swinging the axes in arcs that dismembered friend and foe alike, and he charged the Necrovion lines, carving a bloody path though the army chanting “KILL MAIM BURN KILL MAIM BURN KILL MAIM BURN KILL MAIM BURN. As his energy was used up he started to fade screaming “noooo ......must.....ki” but only to reappear later after the carnage subsided. in another part of the field swords rang out , but even among the bloodshed a comercal sight was held as a glass flask as hurld at a group of necro Warriors smashing at there feet, laughing they did not realise until it was to late that the flask containd one of the most powerful acids in the world they fell screaming as the flesh was stripped from bone. Udgard turned to find Eden with a sling shot harrying the enemy, wodin was amongst the men of golomus felling necros with every swing of his sword until he faced one of the champions of necro, a fearsome barron from the dark lands whos name was sold long ago for eternal power, the battle that followed was not recorded however, but there were rumers that the barron no longer possesed arms when wodin walked away. there were many sentinels fighting for khalazdad there but as the warriors of the other alliances thought they were being overwhelmed ,a random twist of fate happened.

ravens messege to the world

In the Shadow of the Raven
Once there was just darkness, shade on shadow, black on black. Legend tells us, Raven came and waved the darkness back. Provider and protector, integral to death and birth, A paradox in midnight black who brought the light to Earth.
In the Shadow of the Raven we all stand:
More than comrades. More than brothers. We are Clan.
The Raven is a trickster and a scoundrel, but take care. His eye is always watching, always winking, always there. He spreads his wings and gathers us into his dark embrace: The poets and philosophers; the bold who seek his face.
In the Shadow of the Raven we all rise .More than seekers. More than scholars. We are wise.
The Raven calls to those who love the dark, yet seek the light. The more our curiosity, the greater his delight. He knows our deepest sadness, yet he shares laughter too, And if things get upset, he understands – its what we do. In the Shadow of the Raven we all soar: We are power. We are brilliance. We are more.

.
on wings of Fire, he glided down like an angel from the abyss, a giant that emitted a aura of pure power, but this power was to great for mere mortals and all was crushed before Him, bez'ecthh, bez'ecthh bane of man and murderer Of gods. Even as bez'ecthh stormd down the distant mountain, it did something that it hadn’t done in since the dawn of time, it erupted. approximately half of the known world was smoothed in a black mask that ,maybe ,will never lift ,and among other catastrophes, a number of isles sprouted from the murky black waters of the Red ocean ,offering new "opportunities" To plunder the wealth of the world, but opened the dangers of life to near uncountable numbers bez'ecthh, in the years of His birth as a god, he was not twisted and numbed by rage and hate ,he was actually quite the opposite ,loving peace and healing, but he looked down from the heavens and saw a mortal woman ,Eierline, who he believed was born for him, so he brought her a vision ,of riches and hope, but the lord of the mortal realm ,who was a god in his own right ,also liked the maiden a demanded bez'ecthh return to the realm of clouds ,but offended ,seeing that mortal could force him to do anything ,bez'ecthh took up his crystalline sword and expanded the snow white wings that his farther had bestowed upon him ,and went to Do battle with the black king.
.
for 30 days and 30 nights the two traded blows, a figure, darker than night itself and a gleaming warrior too bright to look at, fought Endlessly ,until the dawn of the 31st day ,when the dark king hacked bez'ecthh's Arm from his torso, and with a mighty effort broke his back across his knee. fleeing the mocking laughter, bez’ecthh returned to the kingdom of clouds nursing his pain an hate for humanity, he vowed he will reek his vengeance across the mortal realm and not stop until the world was just a barren rock. this was him now marching to Destroy. he was confident that what happened last time will not happen again but still one man among the teeming millions had the hidden power to defeat him, but the only problem was, he didn’t know which man.
.

Raven's presence at the Howling Gates attracts the attention of the Necros, and they begin gravitating toward him, curious to see what he is doing so far from the forest which he serves. Maybe he has come to sacrifice himself!
