Aken is taking into an elite group of soldiers where his body, mind, and abilities are honed to deadly precision. Upon completing his training, he is taken deep into the heart of Golemus for a special ceremony, where he is bound to a stone table. “To truly be one of us, you must go through this final transformation,” says the leader in an ominous tone. Cloaked in crimson robes each of the members approaches Aken. Some inject him with vials of deep red fluid while others pour it over him.
Aken can feel is body burning from within, and he fights the screams that boil in his throat. He writhes in pain as the cloaked beings look on. As quickly as it comes upon him, it stops. Aken lies on the stone table exhausted soaked in sweat. An evil smile twists the lips of the leader, “Rise, Aken of the Nightshades.”
Aken slowly sits up. A strange hunger gnaws at him, but not for food. One of the robed observers offers him a glass of thick red liquid. Aken takes the glass and drains it quickly relishing the flavor. Suddenly he realizes the liquid was blood. A feeling of renewed strength and endurance the likes of which he has never felt before floods through him. Excited yet alarmed Aken looks at the leader in confusion.
Deep, evil chuckles come from several of the observers. “You are no longer human,” the leader explains. “You are now a Dhampire.”
“A dhampire?”
“Yes, neither human nor vampire, but the best of both,” the leader explains. “You will have but one weakness—the occasional need for blood”
A servant approaches the leader carrying a crimson pillow. The leader ceremoniously lifts a sword from the pillow. Its blackened blade shimmers with a deep crimson light. Removing a matching dagger from the pillow, the leader attaches the dagger to the bottom of the sword's blade. The leader then reaches into his shirt and removes a glowing blue pendant and puts it around Aken's neck.
“This is a Shard of Souls, it is used to contain the souls of your slain enemies and you can harness that energy”.
The leader then turns around and thrusts the blade into the servent releasing his soul that then flows into the pendant making it glow brighter.A sinister smile twists the lips of the leader as he quickly draws the blade from the servant. He then hands the blade to Aken, “Take these blades and be bound to them."
Aken reaches out and takes the sword and dagger firmly in each hand. A surge of power radiates through his hands and into his body. He crosses the blades before his face. The scent of blood drifts into his nostrils. His eyes begin to glow with an eerie blue light.
“The binding is complete,” the leader states, “go forth and fulfill your destiny.”

Aken leaves Golemus for the mainland. Upon exploring the land, he meets a man in the dojo named Sparrhawk. Different from his previous teachers, Sparrhawk taught Aken with a kindness unknown to him. He educates Aken in the ways of the mainland and introduces him to Tarquinus, leader of the Children of the Eclipse.
With more training Aken entered the land of the CoE—Loreroot. He met several interesting people and learned the ways of Loreroot. All the while his heart ached to return to his homeland.
One day while at Wasp’s Totem, a strange darkness came over Aken. So blinded was he by this darkness that he killed Sparrhawk but luckily he was brought back to life. Aken realized that he had been possessed by a demon. He tried many different rituals to exercise the demon, but to no avail. When the demon surfaced a second time, Aken nearly killed several members of the CoE. Aken returned to his senses once he was defeated and exhausted. Sagewoman and Calyx of Isis attempted to purify him. Time will tell whether they were successful.
Aken left the CoE after a fight with Sparrhawk. Trying to return to his home, Aken entered the labyrinth. He spent many days toiling at the labyrinth before he finally stepped onto his homeland again. He encountered Burns there who introduced Aken to Mcvitie. She tested him for the Guerrilla Golemicarum alliance. Upon passing the test, Mcvitie introduced him to King Yrthilian.
Aken stayed with the alliance for many moons until one day he could not take it anymore and told them that he had been spying on them and left the alliance for the Children of the Eclipse which he had been spying for. Aken was soon cought and put into a dream state by Yrthilian. Aken woke from the dream and continued to live his life as a knight of the eclipse...
Aken soon grew bored and left the Children of the Eclipse.
~The Tainted~
Aken wandered the land for many days. One day Aken found himself in the dark realm of the Gazebo of Chaos . Granos and Ailith were seen talking but Ailith was not the same--She was tainted. Aken was deeply intrigued by his findings and decided to join The Tainted.
Aken spent many days with them and became one the cruelest tainted there was. He worked with Granos and the others to taint an Angien Egg at the Fountain of Dark Vibrations.Aken defended the egg and in the process lost both arms and legs. Granos came up with a plan and transplanted Aken's head onto the body of a Lorerootian archer, which turned him into a vile Tainted Lorerootian Archer.
Aken did many things in the time he was with The Tainted that caused many hearts to ache and bodies to crumble. Firsanthalas could no longer handle Aken's evil ways, and decided to get a group together and stop The Tainted all together.Firsanthalas met Aken at the fountain , turned him into a frog, and cured his Taint... But not all the way. Something went wrong in the process, and Aken was turned into an Undead Lorerootian Archer... No longer held by the bonds of the taint he wanders the realm in search of something... but what?
~Seekers of Enlightenment ~
Aken found what he was looking for in the form of an alliance that goes by the name of The Seekers of Enlightenment. The Seekers strive in the advancement of knowledge and try to find connections throughout the realm. Aken found himself as an observer, watching in the shadows from which he called home, he wrote page upon page of information that he observed. One day, while in the building they call Defensive Quarters, he was confronted by Sparrhawk.
Sparrhawk was interested in Aken's writing and questioned him on it, but Aken was not too fond of sharing his information. Sparrhawk saw a glimpse of life in Aken's eyes and he pounced at his chance. Sparrhawk cast a series of spells which turned Aken and molded him into his former self, before The Taint. Aken awoke some while later after his metamorphosis and grabbed the robe of a mage from a closet and dawned it. From this period on Aken continued his work with the Seekers but also persude a knowledge of the principles of magic, but he does all these things with the actions of his former self. Aken continued to be persecuted for the things he did in his past but held strong and did not let anything people did to him hurt him.

One day, something happened, Aken was sitting alone under a tree outside Ravens hold. He was writing and thinking deeply about his interactions with the lands, and suddenly he snapped. He dropped his book and started screaming bloody murder into the wind. Aken tore apart multiple trees before he calmed down and soon fell asleep. When he awoke he felt normal again but there was something there... something dark, like when he was tainted but different somehow... so familiar... Aken continued to have outbursts of different magnitudes, so now as Aken continues to live out his normal day of ever advancing knowledge but with the dark spot in the back of his mind that is ready to jump out at any time...
~The Story of Xeneka (Zen-e-ka)~
Xeneka was born from the darkness in the soul of humans and other beings of their kind. He first realized his existance in the shroud of a black mist he looked around in the never ending blackness and moved forward through it. He moved for a millennia in Magic Duel time, which was still an eternity to him. He moved without thought, without feeling, and without anything...
He found himself in the soul of a man named AkenEX, this is the first time he ever experienced emotion and feelings. Xeneka only felt hate, greed, lust, and a want for ultimate power, all of the trade marks of evil. He attached himself like a leech inside Akens soul and began controlling him to unspeakable deeds of evil.

After a while he once again felt himself in the black mist of unfeeling but this time it was different. He could still feel something there because deep down in Akens soul Xeneka was still there and after The Tainted it was Xenekas chance to strike. He took full control of Aken and began doing what he does best...evil.
Aken knew that Xeneka was back and sought help from one of his dearest friends, Mya Celestia. Mya put Aken in a dream like state so he could connfront Xeneka himself. Xeneka saw aken in spirit form for the first time.
AkenEX asked"Who are you!?, What are you doing in my body!?"
Xeneka let out an evil laugh and spoke in a raspy, ghosty tone,
"I am you and you are me, we are one in the same but I am the better of the two"
AkenEX could take it no longer and let his feelings flow. AkenEX and Xeneka fought for a long time, but in the end AkenEX came out on top but did not completly destroy him. AkenEX left the spirit realm and sought out Susan the Silent so she could help him strike while Xeneka was weakened. Susan helped Aken make a potion that made Xeneka part of Akens soul and so that when he needed it, Aken could control Xeneka. Susan made AkenEX a few bottles of the potion and sent him on his way to live his life to its fullest and in the midst of battle he has a secret, dark weapon he can use to his full advantage...
~The Observer~
Aken currently spends his days within SoE sitting and writing his observations and Player History as he always thinks up new projects to keep him busy in the profession he loves, Observing.
