The World Of MD

Epilogue

I was born on the lonely outskirts of the capital of Marind Bell. I had nothing and I was nothing. When I was five I was abandoned by my parents who could not afford to keep me. Makes me wonder how much I am worth. In time I adapted to the unfriendly environment of Marind Bell. I started out a life of thievery and blackmail. When I was ten I was sentenced to be executed. I was saved by a mysterious man who claimed to be a member of one of the most recognized organizations in the realm, the Savelites Church. I'm now seventeen and my colorful past is behind me. I soon found out that I was saved because I showed potential. I'm top of the class on religious study, unfortunately I'm not that good at martial combat. My duty is to wander through out the lands of the realm and show people the righteousness of our beliefs. The Great Ghost will return.... and when he does... only the believers will be saved. Its up to the people to decide. I'm just a lonely girl wandering the wilderness of the realm. I hope to meet the end knowing that I met the expectations that the Great Ghost placed on me. I owe my life to the cause of the Savelites.

Chapter I : Entry I

So here I am... just outside the gates of Loreroot. I finally graduated the Savelites academy and received my first task. I have to gather at least twenty followers from the slums of Marind Bell, my old home. It's a sunny day as usual and the air is filled with hope, a hope for the people I'm going to help see the way.

I've walked for at least an hour already and I'm finally at my destination. The towers of the capitol, Winds Sanctuary, are already shining on the horizon. I frown as I look at them, the contrast between the towers carved from the land by the ancient Angiens and the slums that surround it is stark, and full of bad memories. But that life is behind me now, I am a new woman. Somehow I would feel calm if it wasn't for the shady people that have been following me around for the last quarter hour. I don't think they dare to attack the Savelites, but if I don't do something about this soon I feel it may become hazardous .

Suddenly I turn to face the bushes where they hide and shout "Come out!". It has no effect, the only answer I get is an echo. I grow impatient and I start to mumble to myself. Green light is starting to dimly glow around my body, but I'm interrupted by a sudden movement in the bushes and scrubs that are covering each side of the road. A lone, shady looking man jumps out and yells over the distance "Halt! Do not use force - we mean no harm." He stops a little way off with his hands up, still in the shade, and asks if he can come closer.

I'm surprised by the rather warm welcome and agree to meet the old man. Closer look suggests that he is well over forty-five, but he is well built and seems to have some scars that suggest combat experience. I trained to analyze situations quickly... it just might save my life someday.

Slowly, he walks up to me until there is only one meter between us, and as I study him carefully he tells me "No need to worry weary traveler, we are the militiamen of Marind bell. You, my friend, are from a different nation... most remarkable you are a Savelite... and so very young." He looks me over quickly and expertly, and appears to decide I am not a threat to his land "Tell me girl... whats is your name?

Although I'm flattered by his remarks I reply quickly "I have no name which I can tell you of. You can only know I'm here on a peaceful mission to help the church."

The old guardsman nods, sadly. "I hope you will loosen up a little bit, Marind Bell ain't a kinder garden. People need names or initials." The battle-worn guardsman eyes me tiredly "We have no law which can hold you any longer. Now that we know who you are we do not have to follow you anymore. You can proceed on your journey."

As I continue on I think about the advice of the old man. I know that he is right but... what name or calling should I use....

As I walk, the title I shall be known as in these lands is given to my mind:
The caller

Chapter I : Entry II

After a long time walking beside the wall that marks the border of the land, I finally reach the customs house. The gates are huge and majestic, like a city itself. I show my papers to the officers on the border and pay the crossing fee, and they spare me not a second thought. The gate house is like a huge cathedral, with a vaulted ceiling and arches. It takes at least twenty minutes to finally exit the bustling gate section into the outer township. As I exit I take in the view, the town is huge, covered in wonderful tall white buildings and beautiful parks. It's a glorious sight indeed. But I have to concentrate on my mission at hand, and my first destination is the slums. I think to myself... why is my first mission destination such a harsh place? Well it is logical...after all i was born here and raised here for a while .
I guess the task master was pretty sure in himself if he handed this difficult task to me.

As I wander about the streets of the slum looking for someone to enlighten I'm ambushed by some thieves.

They shout "Hand over your money if you value your life!"
I quickly reply "Good men I have only a handful of silver. If that's enough to enlighten your life, please tell me so."
I don't even notice as the thief behind me suddenly rushes his knife into my leg. I fall onto my knees agonized by the pain. I lose control and green flashes start to flicker from my eyes. A mystic voice that sounds like a chorus of women inside me warns the thieves with a voice of strength superior to my own "You humans have no respect, the powers of Savelfuser protect this one! No simple mortal can take her life before we finish with it!" The thieves are terrified by my expression of wrath and glowing green eyes, as green flashes blanket my hands like a miasma of natures own wrath. They are even more terrified to see that my wounds are healing rapidly before their eyes. When the pain is gone I quickly regain my composure and try to calm down. The thieves are terrified, and scared for their lives they press their backs to the wall of a crumbling building on the backstreet of the slums, begging for their lives.

I try to recall what happened... I blanked out after I got hit by one of the thieves... Oh no... I lost control... not again! "Poor souls, these scenes you just witnessed aren't meant for the likes of you." I say to them, trying to calm their fears. "It's to protect myself from those who would harm me. You are safe now. Anyone who believe in the Great Ghost is gifted with these kinds of powers." You reach into your pockets, and pull out a spattering of silver coins "Here, take my coins. Buy yourselves some food, and bathe. I have no need for them right now, anyway. Think about what has happened today, and when you have, come and seek me... I am to be known here as The Caller."

Chapter I : Entry III

As I walk through the streets I realize I should have kept some coins for a map, as the ever shifting alleyways of the slums have changed beyond recognition in the seven years I had been in Loreroot. Another difficult task ahead of me, earn myself some coins. Why does it have to be so hard all the time... At least those thieves might have been swayed by me and someday they may seek me out.

I decided it is time to get going, it is no use standing around here and doing nothing. People are starting to look at me suspiciously as I'm wearing quite a luxurious garment compared to these people. I wonder if someone here even has a coin on their soul as I still haven't found any shops or even an honest looking merchant. I need to find work and realize what the best talents I have are...lets see here... hmm... Of course, I can do magic... Well it isn't that special as anyone can do magic from the upper classes of this City to a lowly hedge witch, if they are willing to study. But I can do green magic, and that's a rare sight in this city. I almost don't notice where I am going until I come to a rundown, but respectable looking shop, I am so deep in thought. I must have been walking for some time, as the slums are rapidly fading to the middle-class district, but the buildings are sill quite cluttered and rundown.

This shop isn't something you see everyday. It has a mysterious magical aura around it... it really draws me in... The sign reads "Odds & endS", in a faded, dark yellow script that was almost definitely once the color of gold. A bell above the door rings as I enter the shop. Despite the unassuming outdoor appearance, the inside of this shop is antique and somewhat... relic like . Suddenly, I hear a sound... it's... eerie... and powerful... something not of this world ... I didn't have a moment to draw three breaths before my worst fears came true. Some dark entity barrels into me, blowing me out of the shop through the thickly blanketed windows, and into the middle of the street. A gaping maw of a hole stares out at me from the shop, as I try to get up from the ground and ignore the pain. For a moment I wonder what that was. I need to prepare a defensive shell over my whole body- FAST - or I will not survive a second blow such as that. Too soon and too fast, a hulking form fills my vision... what is that thing?! In the meantime the people who witness the horrific beating I take as it flings me into the wall are stunned and speechless, but when they see the dark entity in the light they momentarily recognize it and start to panic and shout "A SHADE! A SHADE! Run for your lives! Call the Knights of the Bell!" The dark entity looks like a black fog with no substantial form and with white round eyes that are staring at me while it charges at me, slower than before but still impossibly fast. I barely evade the worst of the blow, and the monstrosity tears my calf. That...was my best... barrier ... augh... I stare at the shade. I must make the summons before I lose even more vital energy... but I was told not to... I can't... there is no other way, I will otherwise lose my life to this thing.

What I didn't realize was that the bleeding was already taking a toll on me. I must summon an Aramor and a Hollow Warrior. It is really risky as it will take me more than the time I have in hand... but I must take this risk if I am to live. I close my eyes and a green auric glow surrounds my body. Soon, the aura starts to leak from my still bleeding body, and the green energy begins to take a form in front of me. I am disheartened to see only one form take a solid shape, when I get struck by the Shade once more. This time its a really serious blow, I can feel that several of my ribs are broken, and the left side of my body is numbed in pain. I can't even get up now. It all depends on this desperately summoned Aramor. I can barely focus on the Aramor to give him a final command, before I fall into the darkness creeping into my vision "Destroy the Shade!" As I wake up... I find myself inside the "Odds & endS" shop, it feels like days have passed by and to my surprise the Aramor has evolved. This ability to evolve a creature is closely tied to ones soul and only few master the use of this ability, but why me, and how did i do it while I was unconscious... As I dismiss the Aramor and it fades away, I hear a voice, calling as though inside my own head "You have passed my test brave missionary. You have been bestowed with powers that few posses. I was once this shop owner's Guardian and now it belongs to you, with part of my powers."

Suddenly, with a shuddering crunch, the door gets kicked in by a man wearing the uniform of a guard. He points at me from the doorway, shouting orders to the other guardsmen around him "There she is! Seize her!"

Chapter I : Entry IV

I wake up in a moist dungeon. My body feels like its going to fall apart, and my head aches like all hell, along with my torso. When I open my eyes I can't see anything at first, but at least the guards notice that I'm awake. One of the guards tells me "Don't try anything stupid. You are locked and cuffed in that cell for your own safety."

I try to remember: What is this... why am I cuffed like this, and why am I even here? All I can recall is that I got beaten half to death by the Shade, and then that weird Aramor... "Hey guard!" I yell. The guard replies with great dislike "What is it prisoner?" I try to reply to him but I'm being interrupted by the sound of a door opening in the hallway. Surprisingly the guards seem to become quite nervous and alert. What is happening over there? I hear some yelling and scolding at the hallway and finally the door to my cell opens. A good looking figure with luxurious clothing and royal grace looks at me. He is backed up by two royal guards who's power even I can feel. "Greetings traveler, I'm called Lifeline. I'm here to release you. I hope the guards were not abusive to you. You see the reason for your being here is because... no no... I'm sure you will find it out yourself, if you need to..." He studies me carefully for a moment, before continuing "Anyway I'm here to ask you... why are you here and how did you enter that shop? No one in the last decade has been able to enter that shop. Even our best spellcasters couldn't remove the barrier that was protecting it." Lifeline keeps waiting for my answer with a gentle smile on his face. Finally I regain my composure and loosen up "Well I just heard a weird call, or a need to enter that shop, and I walked in there." You can see a faint sign of disbelief and anger on Lifeline's face. "Well young missionary...we can't hold you here any longer as you are quite a celebrity back at the slums. People may start to wonder where you are. But remember this, we will keep an eye on you." Lifeline smiles gently at me but you can clearly see that this is all an act.

Lifeline walks out of the cell, not even sparing me another glance. Soon he is gone... I'm unsure what to do when a guard yells at me "So how long are you going to stay there? Your free to go now." I try to stand up but one of my feet is still weak from the injuries I took. The guard notices this and walks over to me to try and help me stand up. He carries me to the entrance of my cell now that I am uncuffed and free. As we start to walk away from my cell and enter the hallway, I see that the long hallway is lighted by torches on each wall. I could hear loud screams coming from every direction I can imagine: behind me; in front of me; and most importantly, the majority of the screams seemed to come from the stairway that lead up one floor. As we start to pass the stairway I ask one of the guards "What is up there?" The guards get irritated by my question and I can see a lot of frustration on their faces. Suddenly, one of the guards replies to my question "We have a lot of trouble with the Heretics lately... it may seem like this city doesn't have many faults except the slums, but the Heretics really make our lives miserable." The conversation carries on as we enter the last section of the hallway before it leads outside "They oppose our beliefs, and every aspect of our government. I hope you do not ever need to meet one of them as they are quite capable warriors. They have powerful bows, and skills that we can not comprehend. The mystery itself is where they get the supplies and training..." the other guard interrupts "Don't you think you are saying a bit much ?" The first guard nods "Yes, I know... I'm sorry... anyway, here we are, you are free." He pulls a bundle down from a locked shelf and offers it to me "Here are your belongings, as well: A staff, your gown, and a book. Go now... and hope we never need to meet you again." The light blinds my eyes as I step out of the dungeon hallway. I begin to walk forward but stumble upon an arrow. I feel a mysterious urge to touch that old arrow. I also feel like I shouldn't ... at least not before I get used to this light and can see properly. It took me quite a few seconds before I can see where I am. Surprisingly, I'm at a hillside on the outskirts of Marind Bell, and the arrow in front of me seems to be a really old relic. Still, the urge to touch it hasn't calmed down. So I think "What harm can a little touching do..."

As soon as I touch that arrow I get hit by a vision. A mysterious voice begins speaking in my head "You are my chosen... you will shape this world... with the help of my others... This particular arrow belongs to a Heretic, as you know them... Use them, my follower... and you will gain power that you can not comprehend at this time..." The vision exhausts me and I collapse to the ground, tired like I had fought with a gang of Grasan by myself.

Age of Dark (first two segments)

It is a dark time in the world, full of pain and suspicion.
Law and honour have been eclipsed by the discovery of mage clans, who have infiltrated communities around the known world. While some of these are peaceful, but the majority seek power at all cost, killing and perverting nature at will. Many are driven mad by the unnatural forces at work in them, regardless of their aims.
Towns have closed their borders to strangers, and all who travel are regarded with suspicion. The empires of the world have been reduced to rebellious nation states, full of chaos.
And above all this, like a hungry shark within the swell of the tide, the Inquisition circles, ever hungry to wipe the threat of the mages from the world.
The Inquisition is brutal and swift, and the only thing more feared than a wild mage is to see the inquisitors on the hunt.
Irregardless of whether you are a peasant or a warlord, serf or king, if you harbor or use magic, you will be swept beneath the tide of their righteous fury.
After decades of turmoil, leaving the world in devastated anarchy, the last of the ancient mage clans is almost extinct...

The night is dark, with a light rain falling gently on the mountainous hills, just enough to muddy the single track running along the forested hills. A plume of smoke rises through the rain from the only cottage on this part of the road. The house is as dark as the night, everyone is asleep.
In the distance, the sound of wheels can be heard in the mud, and soon enough a carriage appears from the darkness. The horse slows as it approaches the cottage, and a man in a hooded cloak carefully jumps down with a thick bundle in his arms.
He walks fast but carefully to the door, and places the bundle behind a plant, where those within will see it but it is hidden from the rain and the sight of any who pass by. Wasting no more time, he sprints back to the carriage, and hurries on.
The sound of his pursuers is rising over the hills, the sound of horses and cries grows ever louder.
Swiftly the carriage is gone again, and after an explosion of hooves and mud that churn the road, so to die down the sounds of pursuit.

It's the break of dawn. Mountainbirds sing on the air, filling the morning with the quiet peace of nature. An old, worn woman opens the windows of the bedroom, to let the light rouse her husband. The sound of cooking fills the kitchen, as the old man joins his wife in waking. Soon, the smell of eggs and warm porridge wafts around the house.
All around, the smell excites hunger with its promise of feeding. The dog barks by the kitchen window, begging for scraps. The cat rubs herself against her masters legs, knowing she will get some eggshells to lick clean. And at the front door, a wailing begins.
The old couple go to the front door, baffled at what could make such a raucus noise. Swiftly, their eyes fall upon the bundle.
Carefully, the man picks it up, and shows his wife the baby boy, left on their doorstep. She takes him inside and finds a proper basket to lay him down in, and soon finds the note and amulet hidden in his swaddling. "Please good people, take care of this boy. He is the last of our family, by the time you read this our family will have been put to the sword. When he is sixteen and not before, give him the heirloom he carried. It is the key to his inheritance, the very thing we where killed for".
The old couple are shaken by this, but they are good people and have more than they need, so in the end they decide to keep the boy, and follow the letters instruction. They never had a child themselves, and begin to prepare for the challenges of parenthood.

Strictly UNEDITED AND RAW VERSION OF THE SAME STORY! .

Its morning and the rain has stopped you can hear some happy mountain birds sing as they try to lighten up the day . Suddenly the cottage door opens and an old man with grey beard steps out accompanied by a woman whos almost the same age as the oldman . They almost get a stroke when they see what has been left behind their door at the doorstep . A little baby boy with a strange note in his basket that tells : Please good people take care of our last clan member his the only one who can continue on our bloodline as we are no longer in this world by the time you get this message . When the boy grows 16...give him the artifact that is hidden in his basket . Be sure to give him that or..some thing might go horribly wrong .

Days and years pass by as the old pair grows older and older. They are happy cause they have a son now , a son they never had. The boy is growing up really nicely . His getting worked out by the old man who surprisingly is an old war veteran . The boy gets trained in the basics of sword fight and shield use . By the time he gets 16 the old pair is well over 70 and the boy is now well built and strong . He even has a job back at the town to support his foster parents .

But something that changes his whole life is about to happen...something wonderful but tragic . His past is going to rain down on him .

Well grandpa im off to work : Says the boy . Wait, Wait a moment silas : shouts the old man to silas , Dont forget your tools belt , you know how mad the master gets when you leave this behind .

Yeah thx grandpa : Silas replies with a downed and embarrased voice . Well im off , see you tonight : but the only thing silas doesnt know is that those were the last words he said to his foster parents .

Now that his traveling down the hillroad he starts to wonder : I wonder what im going to make today...maybe a sculpture ...maybe a household tool...well no point in troubling myself over this when i clearly know that im going to ace the examination the master plans for me today .

He walks down the road until he reaches the workshop. Its a little and comfy workshop with some smoke coming out of its chimney . Reporting in master : says silas to the master . The master is a muscular man with a black beard and a mustache , his somewhat over 30 and polite but strict . You were 10 minutes late silas whats your excuse today ? Silas responds to him : umm...i overslept ?? . Well dont make a habit of it you know i wont protect you forever : scolds the master .

Silas tries to change the topic : Yes i know im sorry ... now what are we going to make today anyway , something new ? Silas tries to hold in his exitment . No today you are going to make a carriage wheel . But as i can see you forgot your tools again...well atleast the tool you are supposed to use here. Notifies the master . Silas replies with a surprised voice : OOh...damn it...i used it last night so i forgot to bring it back with me . Hey can you please wait a little bit master it will take me only 30 minutes to fetch it from my house .

Well make it quick 30 minutes and not a second later .. now run. Replies the master with a loudened voice . Silas mumbles by himself : Damn that master always trying to get on my nerves , why now of all the days does he have to make me create the wheel today ??!? And whyyy didnt he borrow me his...Silas is being interrupted buy a tragic view on the mountain . His home is burning on the horizon and some raiders of the neighbouring country are comin down the road into the village to raid and ravage .

Silas is terrified by what his seeing , the whole town is panicking and running wild and screaming . The scene is even more horrific than silas expected as some of the villagers that were unlucky enough to escape from them in time were cutted down mercilessly by the horseback raiders . Suddenly one of the raiders changes trajectory and heads towards silas . Its coming closer and closer when suddenly silas`s master jumps infront of silas and receives the lethal blow that silas was to take . Weakened by the cut the master sustained he falls down on his knees and then finally on his back . The only words coming out of him are : Silas......Liiiive on...

That was the last mental shock silas could withstand. He loses conciousness and when he regains consiousness every raider in his proximity is dead . He notices how the towns people are staring at him with fear and awe. Silas tries to speak but only thing that comes out of his mouth are some unfamiliar words : Shi la de se var . The voice what you used to speak was soo dark and deep that it even further scared the towns people . Silas takes a step forward to show them that his actually good and peaceful and that his as confused as everyone else but unfortunately that was the last straw the towns people could handle .

They start to run away as fast as they can. Only one man stays behind . An old looking historian. Silas tries to ask of him what happened but again the only words that are coming out are : Dos de ra velo? with the same mystic voice as before . But the historian is'nt afraid he only says : Yes the voice and language of the ancient clan...i never thought to find one here. They were suppose to be extinct . After some awkward silence he finally asks : Can you understand me. Nod if you can . Silas nods with a hopeful look in his eyes.

The historian continues : Do you know what just happened ? Again nod if you know . Silas stays still . Historian starts to speak again : yes yes i expected as much . Well i can tell you what i saw . Your master fell down at your feet. You were shedding a tear and suddenly a bright white blinding flash came out of your body and every raider near you was falling down from their horses . The strange fact is that as you can see ....every one of the raiders neck that did'nt escape is broken. Silas tries to regain his composure after hearing this and mumbles by himself : Dos Vera ?!?!

Finally the historian starts to walk away and the last words you hear from him are : Dont you have somewhere to go ?? . Soon after silas comprehends the historian words he starts to realise that his might'või been destroyed aswell . He starts to run towards his home that resides on the mountain hillside and yells loudly : Na ...naa..naaaaa ...naa der ke!!!! . Suprisingly it only took about fraction of the time to reach his home than usual even when he doesnt realise that . Silas starts to scrub through the ruins of his home only to find a shining amulet lieing on the ground . He doesnt know this but its the artifact his real father left behind for Silas to discover .

As soon as silas touches it , the amulet absorbs into his skin . Silas faintly starts to lose counsiousness.

After some time has passed Silas starts to regain his senses he can hear his heart racing like never before , it resembles him like a horses galloping sound, suprisngly hat turned out not to be his heart but an actual horse . He is really confused as what to expect , he even tries to move himself but it has no effect . Suddenly Silas hears a voice next to him : Hey ...he is starting to wake up : sais some stranger besides silas . Silas is really surprised when he actually starts to make out something in front of him . The light starts to hurt his eyes but more over silas is confused . It seems to be an evening . Only thing silas remembers is that he passed out when it was still morning . Ugh..: silas feels enormous pain in his head . At first he can only see some shady figures and that his being carried on a wheel platform that are pulled by a pair of horses . Again the familiar voice sounds but this time more clearer and right besides him : Are you awake my good friend ? Silas still cant see clearly but atleast he can understand him . Silas tries to respond to him but is really surprised when he cant . Not even one word comes out of his mouth . Its as he lost his ability to speak all together . Arghh..: silas´s head starts to hurt even more when he remembers the events that had happened before . Silas closes his eyes for a moment and the next thing he can understand is that his in some kind of a hut and on a straw bed . A lone man enters his room and starts to speak : Are you well , i dont want to stress you anymore then i have to . You are very unstable somehow . Tell me what happened to you . Silas recognizes that voice its the man before , he tries to respond to the man : ...Yui...ma..i..ughh..

The man takes a quick note of whats happening to silas : O soo you'r a foreigner ....never expected this to happen ..well its not like you can understand me or anything . My name is : Toku .

Can you understand me ? Someway Silas tries to explain in body language that he really can understand him . Tokusuprisingly understand some of those body signs : Soo on some level you can understand me . Well its better than nothing . Can you remember what happened before you came here ? I found you next to a burned down hut . It seemed you lied down there atleast 3 days . You had sun burns all over your body . Silas lies down and sighs . Its a sign he can remember . Toku starts to explain : I think you already know this but the neighbouring country invaded us ...those filthy Branteens : Toku seems to be angry and his fists are closed . Silas gets up to his sitting position as quickly as he can and grabs ahold of tokus shirt . His expression is terrified and unquestionably surprised . Toku tries to calm silas down : Now ..now dont get mad .. i guess you did'nt now . Silas loosens his grip on toku and lets go of him . Toku continues : You see Branteens lately changed leadership . A powerful warlord successfully pulled of a coup´d´etat . As the next act as a new ruler he invaded us . Now..enough of this i'll bring you something to eat . Im sry if its not up to your expectations as im not a wealthy man . Atleast i can manage . After Silas finishes his meal he soundly falls asleep . The next day dawns as the birds start to sing . Its a bright day and full of light . Silas wakes up when they ray of light passes by his closed eyes . Slowly but steadily he sits up and yawns . He starts to look around for his clothes but only finds some new clothes that toku placed on the chair for him . When his dressed he starts to walk but almost falls down as his legs are weakened . How long was i asleep : thinks silas . He openes the door that connect the kitchen and tokus room . The kitchen is a damped round shaped room with a wooden table at the center of the room with stove and 2 Wooden chairs . There's even 2 doors . One leading out and the other one to tokus room . But all that silas notices is the warm and good smelling food on the table . Silas helps himself and starts to eat the food like he has'nt been eating his whole life . As his almost done eating he can hear some sounds coming in from outside . Seems like someone is chopping some wood . Silas opens the door that leads the the yard infornt of the house . It takes him good few moments before the eyes get used to the light . Probably the image Silas just starts to see will be always imprinted in his eyes . The yard is a wonderful scenic . Long trees or even a forest surrounds the house and what land is cleared of the thick tree grove , sparkles as its filled with magic as the water that accumulated on to the grass reflects the sunlight . Soon he notices toku who is doing his job as a woodcutter . Silas does'nt even think about what his doing and grabs an axe . Toku startles when he sees silas so energetic and healed but warns him : do not try to push yourself as your injuries might still not be healed . You slept for quite a while i even started to worry . Silas is surprised by that and replies : that much ?? Impossible....well it doesnt matter anymore ...im awake now and i have to repay my debt . They start to cut down some trees together as toku explains his job as a forester who cuts down trees for the local lord .

Days start to pass by as toku teaches Silas how to properly speak again . Ofcourse It did'nt take alot of time because Silas already understood and still remembered the language . Weeks pass by as Silas works as the henchman for the forester . Hard physical labor trains and shapes his young body . By now atleast 2 months has passed and its almost autumn . Silas has almost forgotten about the war that ravages this land . As it rarely reaches this secluded place . But it changed with a tragic event .

One day as silas returns from the grocers that's quite far away from where toku lived , he witnesses a horrible scene .

His home has been ransacked by a band of bandits and toku is missing . He drops the groceries and runs as fast as he can inside the house only to find that toku has been horribly beaten half dead . Now Silas starts to remember his past again and reality comes back to him . He mumbles : I...cannot...stay ..here...this always happens to me and people that surround me . I pledge myself today solely on the revenge of my parents and this poor man . First i'll heal and nurture toku back to his health ...and then ...and then...i'll sign up to the army .. I need to protect this land somehow , so that this would never happen to anyone again.

This is my original story .

it continues on but is still unedited by kyphis . As soon as them get edited ill post it here

The Time Of Bane-Born And The Order Of  Sacranors.

It is  an early autumn morning and everything is peaceful  , the birds are chirping happily and washing in the early morning puddles of the leaves .  Suddenly they fly away because of some distant steping sounds. It sounds like metal boots squishing on the wet autumn leaves.

The steps come closer until the origin of the sound reveals itself. It's a tall man fully clad  in steel and wrapped in a  blackened  red stained cape with a mysterious insignia.  . A man in his prime age and well built ,  with a sword faintly glowing in his arm in the passing sunlight .   He continues on walking until he stops and leans down on a tree , stabbing the sword in the ground to support his one hand .  . Unraveling himself from the covering shadows of his helmet , and placing it besides him  , he starts to speak . Faintly as  if he had a sleeping baby besides him that he didnt want to wake up .

Here i am again  in this cursed forest . It is as red as my blood stains on my armor , god curse those murdering bastards .                    (who is this human who dares to disturb our sleep? )                           They ambushed me and those sacred scrolls . How did they know... myself and my brother was  our last hope .  I've been walking for two  days  already , i can feel that i am at my very end right now .    * The leaves under him seem to redden with every second and you can now hear the exhaustion in his voice *

(cant he understand us ?)     To even push me as far as to enter this forest .  What were they thinking . Any human can tell that this forest  is the cursed one . But i guess , they werent exaclty humans aswell now , were they ? * the knights arm suddenly fell down from the pummel of his sword *    Heh ,     Even all my skills  and knowledge couldnt help me . I can still smell the river , but it is still  too far    just like two days ago, even after walking for so long . That is the only proof of that where ever i go i still wont progress anywhere .  I am trapped in here .  No more , i can go on no more , i am sorry for i cannot keep my wowes  ( This human seems interesting )  * with a bitter voice full of sadness and a spark of anger he pleas *   Gods help me avenge my brothers , i would sacrifice everything !!! .   The Bane-born  can not and will not reign over us .  *that spark of anger took everything out of him . There is no longer any energy left in his body . His limbs are numb and face is dull , even when he knows that speaking will only drain his energy , he still continues even when he realizes that  no one is listening . *

I am the last of the Sacranors , with the end of  me everything is destined  to a  doomed  end .  *His voice is even softer now , full of depression and regret .*   In this god forsaken red forest .    I can feel the trees whispering .  * The lonesome knight starts to chuckle* I cannot still believe everyone sacrificed themselves for a failure like me.  For gods sake i can even hear the tress whisper .   ( You shouldnt die)

Those cursed trees that are even now  watching me rot away . (A good man should not die)

*His voice is barely a whisper now and only the tree behind him  can hear him now*

Why did they have to assign this to me?  It does not matter right now  cause  in the end nothing matters.  I am just like these red leaves . Once full of life and energy but now fading into the past , just like me. A ten years from now , no one will even remember me.

(We cannot let you die!!! )   *The knight slowly looses balance and starts to fall until he hits the cool and moist red leaves and with the last breath he could manage , he wastes it on his last words even when he knows that he should conserve his energy . . These words only sound like a whispering mumble *

Only the faces of my fallen brothers...... God' i would accept anything to  save my life and trough me avenge my brothers......  *   And With those last words said  , the blackened and reddened knight closes his ever so sleepy eyes , that long for a long rest we all have to take in the end *

(You will live , you will have a new beginning a fresh start , i will gift you a whole new life .) ( That was your wish wasnt it? ) ( Now let me see what you make of yourself)

Days pass unknowingly for our knight in red and black until he regains his senses in a humble cottage  when a ray of sun touches his sleepy closed eyes like a soft touch of a maidens hand . .

When he opens his eyes finally he opens them like a first born pup , there is nothing he knows or nothing he recalls.  The only thing he sees and tries to understand is this lonesome room , full of dusty books and jars . The sun that shines trough the window and the sparks of dust that gets illuminated in the constant ray of light .  His bed is creaky and full of hay and his head hurts like hell with numerous scabs covering his head and bruises on his body that hold some clue as of what has happened to him in the past  , he  now knows that something is wrong and starts to rise .  Rising from the bed is harder then he thought his body feels like its burdened by huge boulders.  Moans start to squeese trough his teeth and the bed squeeks in kind .  By that time a sound can be heared coming from the other room that is behind a rickety wooden door with  a rusty old handle .   Just when our brave knight gets a hand behind him to support his weight , the door opens . The ones that entered are an old farmer and a beautiful maiden . The farmer is dressed in old , dusty and holed pants  , his shirt is grey from washing it and his head is covered with a straw hat . The woman is dressed in a white  dress that is decorated by sewned blue autumn  flowers and in her hair is  the exact same  beautiful clovered flower .  Only thing that ruins this perfect picture is the sad face of that beautiful woman . A face full of worry and sadness.  Just when our knight gets his feet on the ground and now sits on the bedside , the oldman opens his mouth and starts to speak .  * Hey , you! Who are you ? i found you layin infront of our house , wearing that blood stained cursed shirt and leggings . You should thank my daughter here , i would've left you rot  out there . She even gave you new clothes .  So , who are you and what are you doing here? Are you a bandit? *

Suprisingly The battered knight understood  everything and when he tries to think what to say the only words that come out of his mouth are * I Do not know * .  The old man  is startled and you can see a throbbing vein on his temple and he ask * what is your name`? * The knight answers again * i do not know * .  He rises up and starts stumbling trough the old wooden door to the room where his strange hosts came .  His legs are heavy as stones and walking is painful but he needs to see where he is .  He enters a room with a  table and stools , on the walls he can see two windows and an old rusty arming sword , and a shield .  Somehow they seem familiar and natural for him like he has known the usage of those items his entire life . This makes the knight even more confused .  The room where his in right now  is a bit cleaner than the room where he slept .  The only thing in the knights mind is to find a door as fast as possible but the light that shines trough those two windows is stunning him with a ray of light  . When he tries to step out of the ray of light he stumbles on another chair and it takes all of his strength not to fall down , while stumbling he spotted a door and now is rushing towards it as fast as his legs can withstand . In the room where he came he can still hear the cursing of the old man and the worriful voices of the maiden . It doesnt slow him down and when he finally opens the door that leads to outside . He almost faints because of the bright sun , and finally when his eyes gets adjusted to the bright light he falls down to his knees  with abashed eyes and mumbles * Who am i? Where am i? *

Page 440 - The Traveler
Still difficult to be seen by normal eyes, The Traveler tries to get bits of the discussion from a distance. "I am three men - two who are more complete than they seem, one who is less." (Oh my, and I thought I am twisted). Khal walks away slowly towards Marind's Bell, exiting the tunnel and heading back to its people. "Ah, a King I see; maybe we will meet one day." ...
