Medals are earned through hard work and given one player at a time, sometimes with a ceremony. Together with titles, they are what the realm holds as true about Draconas.

Character

Combat stats tap a row for its sources

  • 678.79 initial + 3 alliance = 681.79

The plain force your creatures strike with when you send them into a ritual.

Treasure from won fights, where it is the cheapest of the nine to raise. Worn weapons lend it, and some shop and reward items grant it.

Damage is your attack less the target's defence, and most abilities start their sum from it. Your total is shared out across the creatures in your ritual, so the same attack goes further in a ritual of two than in a ritual of six.

  • 274.58 initial + 7 alliance = 281.58

How much of a blow your creatures shrug off before it touches their vitality.

Treasure from won fights, at three and a half times the cost of attack. Worn armour lends it, and some shop and reward items grant it.

It is subtracted from nearly every incoming blow, so a defence above the enemy's attack leaves them doing the minimum of one damage. Like the rest, your total is shared out across the creatures in your ritual.

  • 72.84 initial = 72.84

The strength behind everything your creatures do that is not a plain blow.

Treasure from won fights, the second cheapest of the nine to raise. Worn gear lends it, and some shop and reward items grant it.

Healing, protecting, stealing life and poisoning all measure themselves against power and ignore attack entirely. Stealing life is capped at 20 percent of a creature, and an aimed hit at 25.

  • 35.78 initial + 20 territory = 55.78

How early your creatures move when a round opens.

Treasure from won fights, at five times the cost of attack. Worn gear lends it, and some shop and reward items grant it.

The whole field acts in order of initiative, highest first, so it decides whether you land a killing blow before the other side answers or after.

  • 91.52 initial + 6 alliance = 97.52

How readily the realm's heat answers to you, in a fight and on the road.

Treasure from won fights, and one of the dearer of the nine. Worn gear lends it, and some shop and reward items grant it.

It is added to the heat you get for a fight you start, and a quarter of it is added to the heat of every step on your own land, or on any land while you belong to none.

  • 30.48 initial + 20 territory = 50.48

The realm's willingness to tilt a moment your way, or against you.

Treasure from won fights, but only on about one win in eight, so it grows in jumps rather than steadily. Clickables in the lands hand it out, and worn gear lends it.

On roughly one scene in three, luck finds you Winertia; luck below zero loses it instead. In a fight, luck on either side can double an effect or cancel it outright.

  • 70.08 initial + 40 territory = 110.08

How readily your vitality comes back to you.

Treasure from won fights, and by far the dearest of the nine to raise. Worn gear lends it, and some shop and reward items grant it.

It swells the vitality your house pays you on every refresh, by up to half again, with half of that reached at 2,000. After a fight, every creature you sent is brought back up to at least its regeneration as a percentage of its maximum vitality. Your regeneration is shared out among them like the other stats.

  • 43.10 initial = 43.10

Your nose for a price, and how hard you are to overcharge.

Treasure from won fights, at one of the higher costs of the nine. Worn gear lends it.

It takes up to 25 percent off a dwelling, a weapon and your house rent. The discount climbs fast at first and then flattens, reaching half its maximum at 750 and never quite the whole 25. It is the one of the nine the fight engine never reads.

  • 142.79 initial + 50 territory = 192.79

How well you hold together while crossing land that is not yours.

Treasure from won fights, at one of the higher costs of the nine. Worn helms and shields lend it.

Stepping into another house's territory costs you vitality, and your energetic immunity cancels that percentage of the loss. At 100 the crossing costs nothing at all.

Skills that only grow

  • 196.53 initial = 196.53

The weight of your own will, built by going where the realm pushes back.

Every scene you enter that costs action points. Going in above the viscosity minimum pays more than going in below it. The secured day streak pays as well.

Your share of a forge wish. There are five bands, from a tenth to a half.

  • 20 initial = 20.00

Your grasp of the map, and of the shortest way across it.

Touching any of the 25 pillars. Each pillar pays a given traveller once, and never again.

The action points every move costs you. It comes off the cost, down to a floor of one.

  • 80 initial = 80.00

How far your character can still be reshaped. It starts at 80 for everyone and is only ever spent.

Nothing raises it yet. Every card you take by converting permanent stats lowers it by one.

The price of your next card. At 80 a card costs 10 points; each point of plasticity you lose makes the next card dearer (59, then 69, then 81 ...), and each point above 80 makes it cheaper, down to a floor of one.

A dragon's tale Comments on self

RedDragon.jpg

It was in the second year of the era of the gods. The gods became arrogant with their powers. The humans loved and feared them. They were so stuck up that they began to play with these little humans. They planned wars and betted on the outcome, and even worse thing i shall not speak of.

But what even the gods didn't know, was that some dragons lived among the people. You think that is hard to be unnoticed, yes, they didn't live as dragons but changed their bodies into human shape.  This way they can control the humans. There was one simple rule, they may not interfere in the lives of humans, especially emotionally, this is why a tear can kill a dragon.

When the dragons learned that the gods became so cruel and heartless, and they don't do anymore where they served for, they declared a war to the gods. The sky turned red from fire and blood. It was filled with the most magnificent  creatures with any color you can imagine. The fight was hard and many casualties were taken at both sides.

It was in the third month of war, I saw Brancus, god of war, a ruthless opponent. I, in my foolish youth, tried to get him and take him down. In the struggle with Brancus I got seriously injured. I managed to escape and flew as far as I could, until I finally crashed. I quickly transformed in human form.

The period of my recovery is a bit blurry. I was found by an old man who tried to help me as good as he could. human medicine wasnt quite effective on me but over time i managed to recover. At night, I tried to fly back to my land and to my family but I did not find it. When I fled I did not mind my environment.

In my many journeys to find it, I arrived in this beautiful realm. Here I can be a dragon if I want to. this place is a sanctuary, a safe haven, everyone is accepted as they are here. None get killed just by what they are.

Many years later, I found a dragon of my country. He was mortally wounded. I guessed it were his last minutes so I rushed towards him. I took care of him the best I could, but it was no use. He told me to stop and listen.

He told me that the dragons won the war over the gods. The surviving gods took their role again and the land lived in harmony once more. But they underestimated the humans. They blamed the dragons for killing the gods. They hunted them down and killed who they found. Now the dragons live in small communities, trusting no one. This is how an end came to the glory of the dragons.

This is why I no longer search for my home, I have a new home here.

Something happened, or better someone happened. I found someone that completes me, i found someone thats is worthy a dragon's companionship. To my own big surprise it wasnt a draca. No, i had never believed this if you had told me this would happen last year. I accepted a Rider, Nimrodel. She is a great woman, kind, compassionate, wise and funny.
we have grown a bound that is stronger than skin, stronger than blood, stronger than love. We formed a bound that made us one. we share one mind, one body, when we chose to.

Things to know about Dragons:
----------------------------------------
-Dragons are very proud creatures, if you insult them they might see this a good reason to attack or even kill you.
-Dragons can bare a great grudge against others. They do not forget easily and forgive even harder.
-No matter what happened in the past, a Dragon will set that all aside to protect his own kin
-There are different colors in Dragons as you might know. What these colors mean and what they do to a Dragon is a long hold secret, so no I will not share it with anyone
-A Dragon is well known for his treasure lairs. You should know that a Dragon knows his treasure better than his own scales, if only one coin is missing he'll know and turn the world around untill he finds it. If it seems you stole from a Dragon he will not hesitate to kill you. beware...

From the Adventure Log

Page 434 · Tales of The Cube

Everybody looks shocked at the old man that prepares to walk away. "But but ... you wanted to know about all this; you started the story.." Junior looks confused. "And, I have heard all I wanted to know." The image gets blurry, and everybody looks at each other confused, trying to remember why they stood gathered there in circle. After a while, they all split up, still trying to remember what it was. Some mumble about an old man, but none can recall what happened exactly.
