Character

Combat stats tap a row for its sources

  • 71.53 initial = 71.53

The plain force your creatures strike with when you send them into a ritual.

Treasure from won fights, where it is the cheapest of the nine to raise. Worn weapons lend it, and some shop and reward items grant it.

Damage is your attack less the target's defence, and most abilities start their sum from it. Your total is shared out across the creatures in your ritual, so the same attack goes further in a ritual of two than in a ritual of six.

  • 39 initial = 39.00

How much of a blow your creatures shrug off before it touches their vitality.

Treasure from won fights, at three and a half times the cost of attack. Worn armour lends it, and some shop and reward items grant it.

It is subtracted from nearly every incoming blow, so a defence above the enemy's attack leaves them doing the minimum of one damage. Like the rest, your total is shared out across the creatures in your ritual.

  • 23.92 initial = 23.92

The strength behind everything your creatures do that is not a plain blow.

Treasure from won fights, the second cheapest of the nine to raise. Worn gear lends it, and some shop and reward items grant it.

Healing, protecting, stealing life, draining principles and poisoning all measure themselves against power and ignore attack entirely. Stealing life is capped at 20 percent of a creature, and an aimed hit at 25.

  • 7.70 initial = 7.70

How early your creatures move when a round opens.

Treasure from won fights, at five times the cost of attack. Worn gear lends it, and some shop and reward items grant it.

The whole field acts in order of initiative, highest first, so it decides whether you land a killing blow before the other side answers or after.

  • 28.03 initial = 28.03

How readily the realm's heat answers to you, in a fight and on the road.

Treasure from won fights, and one of the dearer of the nine. Worn gear lends it, and some shop and reward items grant it.

It is added to the heat you get for a fight you start, and a quarter of it is added to the heat of every step on your own land, or on any land while you belong to none.

  • 6.80 initial = 6.80

The realm's willingness to tilt a moment your way, or against you.

Treasure from won fights, but only on about one win in eight, so it grows in jumps rather than steadily. Clickables in the lands hand it out, and worn gear lends it.

On roughly one scene in three, luck finds you Winertia; luck below zero loses it instead. In a fight, luck on either side can double an effect or cancel it outright.

  • 16.15 initial = 16.15

How readily your vitality comes back to you.

Treasure from won fights, and by far the dearest of the nine to raise. Worn gear lends it, and some shop and reward items grant it.

It swells the vitality your house pays you on every refresh, by up to half again, with half of that reached at 2,000. After a fight, every creature you sent is brought back up to at least its regeneration as a percentage of its maximum vitality. Your regeneration is shared out among them like the other stats.

  • 12.88 initial = 12.88

Your nose for a price, and how hard you are to overcharge.

Treasure from won fights, at one of the higher costs of the nine. Worn gear lends it.

It takes up to 25 percent off a dwelling, a weapon and your house rent. The discount climbs fast at first and then flattens, reaching half its maximum at 750 and never quite the whole 25. It is the one of the nine the fight engine never reads.

  • 35.12 initial = 35.12

How well you hold together while crossing land that is not yours.

Treasure from won fights, at one of the higher costs of the nine. Worn helms and shields lend it.

Stepping into another house's territory costs you vitality, and your energetic immunity cancels that percentage of the loss. At 100 the crossing costs nothing at all.

Skills that only grow

  • nothing yet = 0.00

The weight of your own will, built by going where the realm pushes back.

Every scene you enter that costs action points. Going in above the viscosity minimum pays more than going in below it. The secured day streak pays as well.

Your share of a forge wish. There are five bands, from a tenth to a half.

  • 80 initial = 80.00

How far your character can still be reshaped. It starts at 80 for everyone and is only ever spent.

Nothing raises it yet. Every card you take by converting permanent stats lowers it by one.

The price of your next card. At 80 a card costs 10 points; each point of plasticity you lose makes the next card dearer (59, then 69, then 81 ...), and each point above 80 makes it cheaper, down to a floor of one.

A Change of Heart Comments on self

I've tried writing histories and Journal entries when sitting under my nose there was a song that summed up my character beautifully, thank you Mr. Cash

Well, you're my friend, and can you see?

Many times, we've been out drinking;
Many times we shared our thoughts.
But did you ever, ever notice, the kind of thoughts I got?
Well, you know I have a love; a love for everyone I know.
And you know I have a drive, to live I won't let go.
But can you see its opposition, comes rising up sometimes?
That its dreadful imposition, comes blacking in my mind?

And then I see a darkness,
And then I see a darkness,
And then I see a darkness,
And then I see a darkness.
Did you know how much I love you?
Its a hope that somehow you,
Can save me from this darkness.

Well, I hope that someday buddy
We have peace in our lives;
Together or apart,
Alone or with our wives,
And we can stop our whoring,
And pull the smiles inside,
And light it up forever,
And never go to sleep.
My best unbeaten brother,
This isn't all I see.

Oh no, I see a darkness.
Oh no, I see a darkness.
(Oh) no, I see a darkness.
Oh no, I see a darkness.
Did you know how much I love you?
Its a hope that somehow you,
Can save me from this darkness.

if, at least Ravenstrider will understands this then it's done it's job
Also I'm always in character , all my out of character chat is within brackets

For Windy

While sitting and pondering to himself

F***!, I swear to god, the next time I see someone send their creatures to the slaughter simply so they can appease their balance to reach the next mind power, I will kick their head in!, *Recalls the Aramor looking at its master before wading into the roaming slaughterhouse that is the opponents army* THE HE HAS THE F****** AUDACITY TO TELL ME "They need to learn from their losses" I swear the next time I see that man, I will put a bullet in his head and stand over his corpse and ask "What did you Learn?".

Jose Didn't bother remembering the date So this Journal Entry was entitled "The Rant" (My omage to Sam Kekovich)

The Next time I see a bloody Mp5 trauling for adepts like a Jehova's witness at 6 in the moring, I'll do my own block *Jose Spits*, I'm sick of the werewolf-vampire-fallen angel-demon angel-risen angel-reformed angel-dragon-shadow-demon combo's all in one character it's bloody ridiculous I'm talking about you dominic pic a race and stick with it. The next time I have to dodge one of your lollipops as I walk through the marble dale park, I start hurling bottles of bourbon at you and see if you like it, I GET IT YOU'RE A CHILD ENOUGH WITH THE NICKNAMES AND THE SPEECH IMPEDIMENT ITS GETTING OLD. I am sick and tired of pretending to be intimidated by people who simply claim to be powerful, Dragons, Goddesses, AND ARE YOU SERIOUS MINSC? the Mighty Ranger I mean WTF? I thought he was dead. I mean shit the lead Singer of RATM is an MP4, and I swear to god the Next time Wolf wanders in without pants I'm gonna FIX HIM. AAAARRGGGHHHH!.

The Rant continues...

Something Else I've noticed in this game is that some people (Grido) utterly fail to communicate.

There are too many "Mysterious" people around here, I've been listening you conversations around here for about 50 days with this character, and well if you are an MP3 YOU HAVE NOTHING TO BE MYSTERIOUS ABOUT YOU ARE A SIMPLE LIFE FORM THAT WOKE UP IN THE MARBLE DALE PARK ONE DAY. Now then there are the other kind of mysterious people whom you have a conversation with and they begin to talk NONSENSE, and since I'm in character I can't just turn around and say WTF ARE YOU ON ABOUT, and they think they're clever, they communicate badly, then act smug when you don't understand them e.g "Ah *Person makes some weird facial expression* you don't know the bullsh!t, nonsense nonsense that nonsense said one nonses bullsh!t Bullsh!t. I'm not paying out on anyones ability to speak the english language, rather those who do know it well but use it wrong.

From the Adventure Log

Page 569 · One Man, Many voices

In Necrovion a being with a familiar shape stirred. The shades, bound like a common Aramor, were trapped in the old man’s shell of a body. Lashtal greeted the old man, asking if he could aid him, but quickly realised something had changed. Mumbling incoherently Lashtal could sense the rage in the shadowy old man. Speaking several times with them, offering help and advice they failed to convey even the most basic instruction. As confusion reigned within them, the storm across Necrovion increased in its strength.
