Character

Combat stats tap a row for its sources

  • 636.44 initial + 10 territory = 646.44

The plain force your creatures strike with when you send them into a ritual.

Treasure from won fights, where it is the cheapest of the nine to raise. Worn weapons lend it, and some shop and reward items grant it.

Damage is your attack less the target's defence, and most abilities start their sum from it. Your total is shared out across the creatures in your ritual, so the same attack goes further in a ritual of two than in a ritual of six.

  • 593.90 initial = 593.90

How much of a blow your creatures shrug off before it touches their vitality.

Treasure from won fights, at three and a half times the cost of attack. Worn armour lends it, and some shop and reward items grant it.

It is subtracted from nearly every incoming blow, so a defence above the enemy's attack leaves them doing the minimum of one damage. Like the rest, your total is shared out across the creatures in your ritual.

  • 214.78 initial + 15 territory = 229.78

The strength behind everything your creatures do that is not a plain blow.

Treasure from won fights, the second cheapest of the nine to raise. Worn gear lends it, and some shop and reward items grant it.

Healing, protecting, stealing life, draining principles and poisoning all measure themselves against power and ignore attack entirely. Stealing life is capped at 20 percent of a creature, and an aimed hit at 25.

  • 7.93 initial + 30 territory = 37.93

How early your creatures move when a round opens.

Treasure from won fights, at five times the cost of attack. Worn gear lends it, and some shop and reward items grant it.

The whole field acts in order of initiative, highest first, so it decides whether you land a killing blow before the other side answers or after.

  • 36.82 initial = 36.82

How readily the realm's heat answers to you, in a fight and on the road.

Treasure from won fights, and one of the dearer of the nine. Worn gear lends it, and some shop and reward items grant it.

It is added to the heat you get for a fight you start, and a quarter of it is added to the heat of every step on your own land, or on any land while you belong to none.

  • 7.91 initial + 45 territory = 52.91

The realm's willingness to tilt a moment your way, or against you.

Treasure from won fights, but only on about one win in eight, so it grows in jumps rather than steadily. Clickables in the lands hand it out, and worn gear lends it.

On roughly one scene in three, luck finds you Winertia; luck below zero loses it instead. In a fight, luck on either side can double an effect or cancel it outright.

  • 28.62 initial = 28.62

How readily your vitality comes back to you.

Treasure from won fights, and by far the dearest of the nine to raise. Worn gear lends it, and some shop and reward items grant it.

It swells the vitality your house pays you on every refresh, by up to half again, with half of that reached at 2,000. After a fight, every creature you sent is brought back up to at least its regeneration as a percentage of its maximum vitality. Your regeneration is shared out among them like the other stats.

  • 32.09 initial = 32.09

Your nose for a price, and how hard you are to overcharge.

Treasure from won fights, at one of the higher costs of the nine. Worn gear lends it.

It takes up to 25 percent off a dwelling, a weapon and your house rent. The discount climbs fast at first and then flattens, reaching half its maximum at 750 and never quite the whole 25. It is the one of the nine the fight engine never reads.

  • 45.90 initial = 45.90

How well you hold together while crossing land that is not yours.

Treasure from won fights, at one of the higher costs of the nine. Worn helms and shields lend it.

Stepping into another house's territory costs you vitality, and your energetic immunity cancels that percentage of the loss. At 100 the crossing costs nothing at all.

Skills that only grow

  • nothing yet = 0.00

The weight of your own will, built by going where the realm pushes back.

Every scene you enter that costs action points. Going in above the viscosity minimum pays more than going in below it. The secured day streak pays as well.

Your share of a forge wish. There are five bands, from a tenth to a half.

  • 80 initial = 80.00

How far your character can still be reshaped. It starts at 80 for everyone and is only ever spent.

Nothing raises it yet. Every card you take by converting permanent stats lowers it by one.

The price of your next card. At 80 a card costs 10 points; each point of plasticity you lose makes the next card dearer (59, then 69, then 81 ...), and each point above 80 makes it cheaper, down to a floor of one.

STRANGER! if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you
not speak to me?
And why should I not speak to you?
-- Walt Whitman, "To You"

Sometimes when Im lonely,
Dont know why,
Keep thinking I wont be lonely
By and by.
-- Langston Hughes, "Hope"

I’m just a face in the crowd, and I’m getting lost.

I’m getting no where in life and I’m getting tired.

You may shoot me with your words,
You may cut me with your eyes,
You may kill me with your hatefulness,
But still, like air, I'll rise.
— Maya Angelou, "Still I Rise"

Personal hate list

To those that I hate, and you know who you are....

I hope you choke on your morning coffee and set yourself on fire with your fag. That would be lovely.

To all the others, here's something you can try to get people to hate you...

Ways To Annoy People

  1. Reply to everything someone says with "that's what YOU think."
  2. Declare your apartment an independent nation, and sue your neighbors upstairs for "violating your airspace".
  3. Follow a few paces behind someone, spraying everything they touch with a can of Lysol.
  4. Make beeping noises when a large person backs up.
  5. Disassemble your pen and "accidently" flip the ink cartridge across the room.

Ways To Order A Pizza
Order a Big Mac Extra Value Meal.

Give them your address, exclaim, "Oh, just surprise me!" and hang up.

Tell the order taker a rival pizza place is on the other line and you're going with the lowest bidder.

Ask what the order taker is wearing.

Ask to see a menu.

Order a slice, not a whole pizza

Ask what the pizza place's phone number is. Hang up, and call again.

Tell the order taker to tell the manager to tell his supervisor he's fired.

If they repeat the order to make sure they have it right, say, "Okay, that'll be $10.99; please pull up to the first window."

Ask for the guy who took your order last time.

If using a touch-tone press 9-1-1 every 5 seconds throughout the order.

Put them on hold.

When the order is repeated, change it slightly. When it is repeated again, change it again. On the third time, say, "You just don't get it, do you?"

If any of the above practices are rejected by the order taker, say, in your best pouty voice, "Last guy let me do it."

Lessons I've learned...

I've learned that you cannot make someone love you. All you can do is stalk them and hope they panic and give in.

I've learned that no matter how much I care, some people are just assholes.

Everyone is entitled to be stupid, some are abusing the privilege.

Some people should not be allowed to breed.

Military ways and beliefs

I don't like riddles when it comes down to facts and information, so what I have here would pretty much be straight forward tips that I have learned over my journey here in MD. Hope they would be of some help to you.

- Do the free credits
Its easy to do plus you get some temporary increase in ve, vp, and action points. Click on "Free Credits" located on the upper left corner of the screen, and simply click on 1 of the 24 links to vote for the game.
We can get up to 0.24 credits per day from voting. Over time they would prove to be useful when you want to increase your creature slots or get premium creatures from MD shop.
Do not forget about the temporary increase in ve and vp after you vote. The extra vp can help you get equipment that you normally would not have enough vp to get.

-Try not to waste too much xp and take your time
There is a personal xp cap at mp3 and mp4. Once you reach this cap, you would not be able to give your creatures anymore xp that it needs to advance, until you somehow lower it, or move up to the next Mind Power level.
You might also want to watch the amount of heat you have before battle if you can.

Some creatures require a relatively long time to age before it can advance. Generally the longer time a creature needs to advance, the stronger that creature is in the long run (with a few exception). So take some time to let your creatures gain the neccessary age is not a bad idea.

If you are not prepared when you move up to the next mind level, you will find yourself at a huge disadvantage when fighting others.

-Familiarize with the ability and stats of each creature
While all creature in MD have their own strengths and weaknesses, some are stronger than others when they have reached their full potential. Making some simply useless when it comes to fighting. Find out creature stats of every level would help you make a better choice in focusing on which creatures to train.
Just keep in mind that MD is constantly changing, so creatures might get a boost or a drop in power from time to time.

There is a wiki page about Magic Duel's creature online. It has info on alot of creature stats available on MD. While some info are outdated, and some advance creatures are missing on wiki database, it is still a good start to familize yourself with the various creatures in MD.

If there is anything that you find to be unclear, or you have some unanswered question, feel free to pm me, and I will try to answer them if i can.

... more to come when i think of it

From the Adventure Log

Page 332 · The Inner Sun - Iam.

I am Bored sighs happily and closes the book he had been reading. “I’m keeping this!” he says. The fire has all but gone out; the embers of random books, lost forever, smolder quietly and fade. I am Bored looks around at the shadows for a moment. He stands, saying, “I want more books like this!” and leaves the dying fire behind.
