Medals are earned through hard work and given one player at a time, sometimes with a ceremony. Together with titles, they are what the realm holds as true about Zyrxae.

Character

Combat stats tap a row for its sources

  • 780.74 initial = 780.74

The plain force your creatures strike with when you send them into a ritual.

Treasure from won fights, where it is the cheapest of the nine to raise. Worn weapons lend it, and some shop and reward items grant it.

Damage is your attack less the target's defence, and most abilities start their sum from it. Your total is shared out across the creatures in your ritual, so the same attack goes further in a ritual of two than in a ritual of six.

  • 578.68 initial = 578.68

How much of a blow your creatures shrug off before it touches their vitality.

Treasure from won fights, at three and a half times the cost of attack. Worn armour lends it, and some shop and reward items grant it.

It is subtracted from nearly every incoming blow, so a defence above the enemy's attack leaves them doing the minimum of one damage. Like the rest, your total is shared out across the creatures in your ritual.

  • 211.60 initial = 211.60

The strength behind everything your creatures do that is not a plain blow.

Treasure from won fights, the second cheapest of the nine to raise. Worn gear lends it, and some shop and reward items grant it.

Healing, protecting, stealing life and poisoning all measure themselves against power and ignore attack entirely. Stealing life is capped at 20 percent of a creature, and an aimed hit at 25.

  • 124.34 initial = 124.34

How early your creatures move when a round opens.

Treasure from won fights, at five times the cost of attack. Worn gear lends it, and some shop and reward items grant it.

The whole field acts in order of initiative, highest first, so it decides whether you land a killing blow before the other side answers or after.

  • 216.52 initial = 216.52

How readily the realm's heat answers to you, in a fight and on the road.

Treasure from won fights, and one of the dearer of the nine. Worn gear lends it, and some shop and reward items grant it.

It is added to the heat you get for a fight you start, and a quarter of it is added to the heat of every step on your own land, or on any land while you belong to none.

  • 69.80 initial = 69.80

The realm's willingness to tilt a moment your way, or against you.

Treasure from won fights, but only on about one win in eight, so it grows in jumps rather than steadily. Clickables in the lands hand it out, and worn gear lends it.

On roughly one scene in three, luck finds you Winertia; luck below zero loses it instead. In a fight, luck on either side can double an effect or cancel it outright.

  • 181.52 initial = 181.52

How readily your vitality comes back to you.

Treasure from won fights, and by far the dearest of the nine to raise. Worn gear lends it, and some shop and reward items grant it.

It swells the vitality your house pays you on every refresh, by up to half again, with half of that reached at 2,000. After a fight, every creature you sent is brought back up to at least its regeneration as a percentage of its maximum vitality. Your regeneration is shared out among them like the other stats.

  • 76.76 initial = 76.76

Your nose for a price, and how hard you are to overcharge.

Treasure from won fights, at one of the higher costs of the nine. Worn gear lends it.

It takes up to 25 percent off a dwelling, a weapon and your house rent. The discount climbs fast at first and then flattens, reaching half its maximum at 750 and never quite the whole 25. It is the one of the nine the fight engine never reads.

  • 180.47 initial = 180.47

How well you hold together while crossing land that is not yours.

Treasure from won fights, at one of the higher costs of the nine. Worn helms and shields lend it.

Stepping into another house's territory costs you vitality, and your energetic immunity cancels that percentage of the loss. At 100 the crossing costs nothing at all.

Skills that only grow

  • 349.68 initial = 349.68

The weight of your own will, built by going where the realm pushes back.

Every scene you enter that costs action points. Going in above the viscosity minimum pays more than going in below it. The secured day streak pays as well.

Your share of a forge wish. There are five bands, from a tenth to a half.

  • 80 initial = 80.00

How far your character can still be reshaped. It starts at 80 for everyone and is only ever spent.

Nothing raises it yet. Every card you take by converting permanent stats lowers it by one.

The price of your next card. At 80 a card costs 10 points; each point of plasticity you lose makes the next card dearer (59, then 69, then 81 ...), and each point above 80 makes it cheaper, down to a floor of one.

Hello, traveler.

Guess what I did today, I broke the world.

Who here believes the world is made of real things?

I did, before. Then it all clicked.

Remember the mode that was a story? It's just that, a story. It doesn't influence us.
Hidden meaning, you say? Symbology?

Please.

Any half-decent author can scratch out something that seems profound.
Test the waters a little, though, and you'll see how shallow it all really is.

Shades? We've been reflecting on the Darkness Within mumbo-jumbo since Plato first saw the writing on the wall at Altamira.

Marind is even worse. "It's not a question of Light vs. Dark, no, it's something more than that."
Then what is it a question of?
It's certainly not an answer, that would just be silly.

How are you so sure it's not simple?
"Because Tainted Angiens, that's why."
Uh huh.

Order and Chaos would also be too easy, can't do that..

Allegories are a joke and you know it. There's no mystery here, only sorry, misguided little gullibles still clapping for the innermagic fairy.
Or better yet, those who never believed in her to begin with because they just plain never saw that part of MD. That's the best way to go, then there's no electrocution of the soul in realizing it's all nothing.

And not the "it's all nothing, so it's everything"
"The 0, to the 1"
You know who you are, and you know that means exactly as much as it sounds like it does: it's pretty, but does it go anywhere?
Nope, but it sure sounds like it does, and that's what counts.

Just remembered the ghost of a song, then it flickered out.
Oh well, the memory is probably better than the actual thing anyway.

Right?
Yes, of course it is. Back to polemic-

Principles are for tokens, everyone knows that.

Let's see, what other bubbles do I feel like bursting?

There are words, poems even below every scene in the realm. They mean nothing, though they do sound rather nice.

Conspiracy Theory #21 is true.

Ooh, here's a good one: Research and Connections.
Some people seem to think that all means something, which is pretty hilarious in itself.
...I shouldn't be so quick to judge. I believed it, too, at least for a while.
Then I actually started thinking for myself. Geometry is nice, and it's a great way to hide things that don't exist. Two pyramids equals an octahedron which is the echo of a cube, and everyone knows cubes are souls, because they just are. No, really, it makes sense, because six...is a number...and it's perfect...and 'hex' means six in the Ancient Tongue..

Lies, damned lies and mathematics! People won't understand it, because there's nothing behind it all to understand. And yet they keep searching, because it looks like it should make sense.

Surely you've heard some version of the urban myth, how does it go...As a prank, some mischievous persons set three goats/pigs/take-your-pick free in their school/workplace and label them respectively Goat #1, #2, and #4.
It's not all that hard to find a goat in a building, so the three poor creatures are soon rounded up.
But what does everyone spend the rest of the day pursuing?
Why, the third goat, of course!

Now, what does that remind you of?

At this point you may be getting a bit skeptical of my skepticism. Fair enough; maybe I am, too. Maybe I just don't understand it all yet, maybe it will 'click' for me someday and I will be oh so very sorry for writing this.

I doubt it.

Spelldocs being real, reflecting reality? Have you read any of the tenuous support they've got behind them?
Neuro-linguistic programming has been quite thoroughly debunked, thank you very much. The rest is psychology or vague assertions that don't lend themselves to falsification, readily or otherwise.

<< Contents deleted because they sounded sappy on reflection >>

Ooh, reflection, that's another thing thrown in there to make it all seem important.
You want to know what that name means?
It means what it says, nothing less, nothing more.

Have you listened lately?
MD :: empty .

That I know.
This is my show of force, and I'm telling you it's a lie.

Page 102 · Golemus Wizard quest - Ak.

The papers she started with initialy were filled long ago, her mind stopped thinking on how she could possibly
reach the floating pyramid in her search for the book of principles, now her entire attention
is focused on writing the principles..her own principles..as she understands them. Voices on a
nearby corridor made Akasha search for a hiding place, she has to exit this place before she gets
cought, the storm is probably over and she has no clue if the tiny people are friendly or not.
