Two old spells remember what they were for

Openlore and Opennecro had both been calling to nothing since their scenes were redrawn long ago, and both answer again. While Openlore lasts, Loreroot's hidden gate glows among the trees with small gold sparks rising through it, and anyone may pass. At Howling Gates the shade of Opennecro now stands still, then breaks apart and slips into nearby places before it comes back, and following it still takes you through.

I watched the shade for longer than I should admit, and it has not once looked back at me in quite the same place.
