Master Saeiane (Pronounced SAY-yeen) is of a race like the elves. But much, much older with stronger magic, he was trapped in this realm and tried to find his way home, to no avail. For when he finally saw the sight of his land while deep in the throws of a powerful meditation that kept him lost from this world- his hopes were broken. A void swept over his nation and his world. Devouring everything into the embrace of the Void. Saeiane now seeks mastery of and control over one of the only forces that survives the Void. Death. To release his home from the prison that has overtaken it. His body has been aged and broken, his soul stripped and his mind twisted from the ordeal of losing his home. But his inner balance must be restored- by first being destroyed.
Dark hair frames Saeiane's slender face. He has a large, muscular build and his body is covered in tattoos from his homeland, not that anyone usually sees them because of his heavy and layered clothing resting over them of grays and blacks. He keeps with him a birch staff topped with a citrine sphere that holds a minor surprise. His robes have many pockets and hidden linings to hide trinkets and weapons in. He stores his memories not in his mind, but on his body, whether it be clothing, scars, tattoos, wounds, jewelry or gruesome trophies... Do not be concerned if you see Saeiane holding something strange and frightening while staring off into space, he is simply trying to remember... His powers that remain are mild at best, the powers to shape-shift into either a Black Widow spider, a gigantic gray werewolf, and a black dog the size of a large bison. And with him he keeps a host of spiders, all are Black Widows, the largest one, Ladyfingers is two feet, two inches and is the mother of the spiders that travel with him, Saeiane reguards them all as family. They have been with him his whole life.
Of the Journey to This Land: I was a great, powerful mage, warrior and king of my old lands blessed with clear waters, and luscious forests. Until my counselor a powerful and corrupt necromancer opened a portal over the door way of my Training Quarters which I was sucked through and became trapped in this land, stripped of my powers except a those few..I am on a quest to find my way back, by whatever means necessary, whether it be the magics of the necrovion, those that lay beyond the gate of ages. Or if my secret is hidden in Loreroot. Wherever I must go, I will. Having wandered these worlds with my minds eye I've seen and experienced many of it's races and customs however certain places remained hidden to me.. As secrets must stay secrets I respected these barriers. And now search on foot....
Of the Dark Water: When I had first heard of what was happening it was from the mouths of Granos and Cryxus at the Fountain of Dark Vibrations. After some researching I had one day found Cryxus and Granos in the Wind & Rain pub. Granos was unconscious and the Void was spreading. It is not an Evil thing the void, it is... Anti-matter, it eats and feeds off creation. Devours everything... The Dark Water is a curse that transmits the void, sadly it was eating at Granos... So together Cryxus and I made an ointment that I dipped two cloths into and wrapped around my hands. From then I recited a chant in the tongue of my people and absorbed the void into myself, the ointment (applied before infection) stopped the void from eating any further. All ten of my fingers are now reduced to bone. But I was proud to have helped Granos and from that act feel a drawing to him. To protect and help him if needed.
Of the Wind & Rain pub: I met dear Windy one day sitting in the sanctuary. Herself and a few compatriots had made a run for LH Weed. Because of this, there was an army of clowns on their tail, so she threw me a weapon so I covered their retreat. After wards we all relaxed in the pub. I have been friends with Wind since. And now work as the Protector/bouncer of the pub (And occasionally- bartender)
The Marriage of my friends Lady Ailith and King Bull: I was firstly invited my a note sent to me from the dear Lady Ailith I was excited to hear they were finally to be married, albeit a bit saddened as I'm sure every other man in the realm save for King was to see her go. I gifted to them a bottle of sacred wine. Known as The Truest Sacrament I drank it at my own wedding in my other life, long long ago. My bride has since been..Lost to me The wedding was absolutely beautiful, Lady Ailith and King Bull had an amazing turnout- Mur was even there. The ceremony went well but I sadly could not stay for the festivities afterwards. It was beautiful to behold.
of Stormrunner and Mcvitie: I got word from Amoran that there was a goings-on at the Paper Cabin Inn. Earlier I had as well heard of the death of Mcvitie. Upon my arrival I had found Storm, mentally broken and emotionally bleeding. Storm is one I respect and trust, so I was concerned. As the conversation continued he became more unhinged. I needed to get him to find and return Mcvities soul, for it was the only way I saw for him to redeem himself in his own eyes. But in the end he refused and it was as if Destiny worked a turn around- I was to go. He was to stay... So I went, and in my stead I left my Shadow Spirit... I awoke deep in the underworld and sensed Mcvities soul. I fought my way through endless hordes of evil entities during which I sustained an injury to my arm and when I came to find her- I only found a piece of her soul. as it turns out she had been revived on our world, my Shadow informed me of this. So I gathered her and returned to find Lady Isolda in front of me, she dragged me to the couch and bandaged my wound while I worked to return Mcvities soul to her.
The Sleep of Master Saeiane & The Destruction of his Homeland
As Saeiane retired to his quarters, leaving Lady Isolda and Tarq downstairs in the Wind & Rain Pub- he knew not that it would be ages before his return.
As he fell to sleep, his body became rigid, cold. His mind and soul were stolen in the night, spirited away to a land he once knew as home. For many days and many weeks, Saeiane was trapped in a ghastly vision of what was once his homeland, seeing all that transpired in his absence. The necroma.ncer adviser to Saeiane assassinated and murdered those faithful to the old king. Taking control of the land, he forced a campaign of war and overtook the continent. But this, was only the beginning of the reign... Saeiane helplessly watched as the forests of his childhood burned away, and the foggy mists that comforted him were swept away, replaced by foul- dark winds. Evil corrupted the land, until one day. The necromancer was bidden into meeting with the demons of the shadow lands, where Saeiane once triumphed. He was killed, and so replaced by the High Priest of the Dark Sun. This evil corrupted the very foundations of the earth and sky, the sun was destroyed, the earth turned to soft marsh which threatened- and in most cases did, devour all who were foolhardy enough to step foot upon them. The plants themselves became hostile, ancient trees- full of wisdom died away. The dead were raised upon their coffers and marched throughout the land, creating an unstoppable army of undead. As the world was overtaken by this evil, life turned to dust, death ruled, chaos ensued and all was lost. The Curse of the Void that was once only heard of in legends and history books once again came to the world...
But at this moment, Saeiane awoke. Torn and broken, he crawled feebly from the pub. Finding himself soon at Agiens Ferry. His mind twisted, his body aged and his soul, asphyxiated. The horrors he was made to endured, forever burned into his essence. His quest to return home shattered before his eyes. Nothing is left of him. So there he waited, staring into the dark abyss of lake water, pondering the option of trying to swim the great distance when a dear friend came up behind him, a pleasant light to rekindle Saeiane's flickering inner flame. Lady Isolda
Return to Sa'eida Viv: Saeiane's Homeland:
It was a quiet day, Saeiane put his affairs in order and gathered his tools. Making his way to Lady Isolda's Inn. He arrived soon and found her relaxing with Jonn. After a short introduction to Jonn, Saeiane proceeded to ask her help. He explained to her that, upon the Kevv'r state he was recently pulled into, he faced a problem on his return- causing a part of his soul to splinter off; he told her that he needed to go back to his home and was in need of her help.
To travel to Sae'ida Viv is perilous enough, to travel alone is to invite certain death. For those who become lost in the mist, never return. Ever the adventurer, and moreso the friend; Lady Isolda agreed. He summoned his Shadow to open the portal and together they entered the mists. He fed a rope between them as to not be separated and slowly they worked through the dense, ethereal fog. Saeiane lead the way while Lady Isolda kept her axe close, and the rope closer. Soon they fell into a strange new area. They were standing within the source of the void that Saeiane had witnessed. But the pair continued, Saeiane felt himself grow wearier as he crept closer, and after a short walk... They found the source of the void, Saeiane fell to the ground in shock- there Lady Isolda and Saeiane saw in the distance, a shade copy of Saeiane. His void self. Shocked, Saeiane's mind raced with possibilities as to how this could have happened. He soon realized, upon absorbing the void curse from Granos so long ago, it had not only afflicted his flesh. But entered his soul, causing this Void Self to be created. And when he returned here the first time; this splinter of his soul broke off, creating the void that he was forced to see devour his home land, and every single thing he cared for... Saeiane suddenly lost his vision and felt himself move, as if he was outside of his own body. When he returned, he had killed the Void self. A pain seared through every muscle in his body like wildfire, and a sudden cold enveloped him. He fell unconscious.
Lady Isolda bravely took Saeiane and nagivated her way back through the mist, having lost the rope. She soon found the portal and the pair fell through. Saeiane awoke moments later to a bottle of vodka and a cold water compress... Unawares of what had just transpired. Unnatural shivers overtook his body. Saeiane felt colder, darker inside; Unclean... Unbalanced. He hurriedly thanked Lady Isolda, after she explained what transpired and rushed off.
